Abbiamo soggiornato qui durante una delle nostre tappe lungo la Road 1.

Abbiamo trovato una casa accogliente e con tutto l’occorrente per passare una cena/notte tranquilla senza particolari punti di rilievo.

🛏️ La camera da letto (per due persone) era piccola ma gestibile per una notte. Il letto matrimoniale era accessibile solo da un lato: tutti gli altri tre erano attaccati al muro. In camera erano presenti due sedie comode per appoggiare i vestiti e un appendiabiti.

🍱 La cucina, anch’essa piccola, è dotata del minimo indispensabile. Per questo motivo consiglio di cucinare in orari poco usati.

🛀 Il bagno, invece, era molto grande e ben pulito (è l’unica foto che ho fatto). Forse un bagno solo è poco per il numero di stanze.

Il prezzo è un po’ alto rispetto ad altre strutture e per i servizi offerti.

The property is in a beautiful quiet town and the owners were very welcoming. But I still gave a lower rating for two reasons.1 There are no rubbish bins in the property (only a very small one in the communal bathroom).2 The curtains are too thin and the street lights are right outside, so it's as if you're sleeping with the lights on.

Nice little guest house. There is one shared bathroom between 4 rooms in the section I stayed in (so up to 8 people). Looks recently renovated l, but not well finished. Kitchen is basic and has most things you need. No microwave or washing facilities in the section I was in. Basic and warm.

Perfectly located in this beautiful little town of Djúpivogur. The gentleman was very friendly when we arrived and we even could have done some laundry. Lovely spacious kitchen where we had some coffee, there were coffee pads provided for the morning cuppa. Spacious fridge and freezer for our own stuff was in the kitchen. We were on the road towards Skaftafell, so we only stopped for the evening and night. We slept really well and were able to keep our window a little open for the night.

La guesthouse offre 4 camere, 1 cucina e 1 bagno in comune. La camera è colorata, ampia e pulita. La cucina è piccola, pulita ma funzionale. Il proprietario è gentile ma non è sempre lì quindi bisogna chiamarlo all'arrivo. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo e ottima posizione per chi sta facendo il giro dell'isola. Nonostante ci fossero 3 stanze occupate, gli altri ospiti erano fuori, cos' abbiamo avuto bagno e cucina tutti per noi. Se tutti fossimo stati lì sarebbe stato più difficoltoso mangiare (un piccolo fornello e un tavolo per 4) e fare i turni per usare l'unico bagno. Il bagno è carino ma l'ho trovato un po' sporco.

This guest house was actually one of the best we bumped into on our trip in Iceland. The owner is expecting a call from you when you arrive at the place, and literally after 3 minutes he shows up and let you in. After a small tour of the house we went to our room: quite big, two beds and a big window. The house has one shared bathroom and a really well furnished kitchen (with moka for italian espresso which made my day!). Nothing too big and too special, but really comfy. I recommend it.

BEST GUESTHOUSE EVER
I dont usually comment on this kind of spaces but this this I MUST do it. We got caught by a terrible storm that destroyed one of our van window. Everybody on the road stopped at the village looking desesperately for a room, so by the time we got there, there wasnt any left.

I asked a man in the street if he knew where the reception of a certain guesthouse was and he turned to be the owner of this guesthouse, that was closed two weeks ago due to personal issues. Nonetheless, both the owner and his wife didnt doubt to reopen it for give us a room to spend the night (and after that, other two families "were saved" by them in the same way). They even let us to stay in the house till the evening because they knew we wont have a van replacement till then. Good and honest people we will be thankfull forever.

As for technical details its a modern house with four rooms (for each guest) and a shared-WC and living room. Really nice to stay there. No complaints at all.

I really recommend this guesthouse for anybody who want to spend some time in the region. You wont regret it.

We stayed there for one night. We were not sure when we'll come and let the guesthouse know that we'll probably come late in the evening. We came around 10pm and the lady was waiting for us! I don't know whether that was a coinsidence, but if not,then that was nice of her. The lady showed around the guesthouse and gave a leaflet with information about what you can do in the city. It's a pity we didn't have time for that.||When we walked in, it was very warm inside (the temperature outside was 0°C in the middle of June). The bathroom is modern and has heating floor which was very nice. The rest of the guesthouse is pretty old-fashioned. There are 4 bedrooms (we got the smallest one, but managed to fit one big and one small luggage with several bags), one bathroom and a kitchen. Sharing a bathroom with other 6 people was challenging but doable, but the kitchen is way too small for all the 8 guests. We were lucky that we were staying with a group of people who were eating together, so we didn't have to wait long.||Pssst! Wifi signal is best in the bathroom! 😛 ||Since you can't enlarge the kitchen, my only advice to you would be to remove the stuff under the bed from the smallest room. It was weird finding such stuff under the bed haha. |
