Pretty efficient. There's now a separate queue for people who are just picking up documents or permit cards. I was there for a couple of hours when I got my photo taken for the permit (they were having some technical issues that day), but I was only there for about 10 minutes when I came to pick up the card three months later.

I am very grateful to Inspector Anna for her professionalism and responsible attitude to work. She was very attentive to the non-standard situation and helped us solve the problem in a short time. She is a very nice and kind girl, UTL needs more employees like her in the immigration service.

Met very rude middle aged women staff, not only one but quite a few. Very disappointing. Hope they can go home soon to not work here so painfully and take out to people. We deserve better service.

The manager didn't give me my card, because she thought it was in the other office. In the other office they told me the card is in the other office. I'm always seeing lines where I have to wait for 2 hours here. The worst Icelandic experience. I don't tell Iceland is bad, but this instance is a nightmare.

There are usually long wait to get serviced at the UTL and the waiting lines are long. I waited for 5.minutes one day but 1.hr and 30.min the next day. They seam to be very much under staffed.
There’s a wc in the hallway and comfortable seats in the waiting room.
Showing up with a positive attitude is a key thing here.

Exetremely rude, they close at 2, its difficult to even get in contact with them. My permit took months to be accepted. Theres no reason it should take this exetreme amount of time to get a permit to a country barely anyone immigrates to.

I've had a frustrating experience with the support team. The staff seems unhelpful and doesn't appear to listen to the concerns raised. I was left on hold for over 90 minutes, only for the call to be disconnected with generic excuses. Conversations felt robotic, and I didn't feel like my issues were being properly addressed. The online chat support, unfortunately, wasn't helpful either. It’s unclear why the chat feature exists if it isn’t used to assist customers effectively. It feels as though the priority is just making it through to the end of the workday rather than providing meaningful support.
