Þreytt og óaðlaðandi hótel. Herbergið rúmgott með góðu útsýni,- en afar kuldalegt. Sameiginlega snyrtingin og baðaðstaðan frekar dapurleg. Allt í lagi að halla sér þarna eina nótt. Morgunverður góður og snyrtilega fram borinn.

Piccolo hotel in un villaggio, gestito da una coppia, lui italiano, offre una buona colazione con uova fatte al momento. Pulito, anche se le camere non sono molto ampie, hanno ricavato un piccolo bagno, sono comunque accoglienti ed hanno bollitore e macchina del caffè.

At the beginning of April, myself and my son arrived early evening and we could not find a campsite for our campervan to stay overnight and happened upon this nice little hotel. Very friendly and simple, clean rooms with very comfortable beds. We didn't eat there because we had our own food in our van but I know the food would have been good plus we were offered their kitchen to do our own dishes which shows you the level of friendliness. So I wouldn't hesitate recommend or to stay there again if we are ever that way. Also very close to the sorcery and witchcraft museum that was interesting and gave a good account of Icelandic folklore and history. One of the staff were very helpful sharing details about the local area, route, attractions at certain points along our way referring to a big map. Just very helpful all round.

Hotel Finna gives new depth to the term "minimalist". This is barely a "hotel". There are no closets, no bureaus, no shelves, no hangers, no toiletries. A small table and chair is all there is room for along with the bed. The flat TV is on the wall but didn't work. And, the bathroom is just large enough for a toilet and small sink with a shower barely large enough to turn around in without stepping outside. When we arrived, we asked for ice for drinks and were told to go to a supermarket nearby and get it there. "Breakfast included" is comprised of a few slices of cold meat, tomatoes, boiled egg and white bread with margarine. We were told that the eggs were only served hot every other day. Clearly unionized chickens. Young person cleaned tables around things in the middle wearing gloves and using same gloves when she dealt with food. One can only imagine how she cleaned the rooms. We were supposed to be there 3 nights and run away after one night.|Perhaps the most serious issue was that the price in Bookings.com was listed in local currency but the amount charged to the credit card was the same number but in Euro (715.36 EUR): 3 times the amount. We paid for this “luxury” EUR 238.45 per night and the owner of the hotel did not bother to acknowledge the mistake and return the difference.||E.Dec

Das Zimmer war geräumig und hatte eine scjlne aussicht. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Leider hatte es im Bad an der Decke und an den Wänden Schimmel.

After reading so many negative reviews, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the stay was. The room is spacious and clean. Bathroom is small but very clean and gets the job done. Towels were soft and large. Some of the outlets had USB which was convenient. My only con for the stay is the slow draining shower and having to stand in 2 inches of water. Did not try the breakfast, looked like the standard continental breakfast. The price is great and the room is nicer than some of the hotels throughout Iceland that cost twice as much.

Small guesthouse in the little town of Holmavik. It became one of our favorites due to the kindness of Kathy (hotel manager) who gave us some great tips for the rest of our Iceland trip and prepared breakfast for us. Our room was nice, facing the coast. It was small but totally fine for 2 people, and had a mini fridge and kettle, as well as a TV. Everything was very clean. We spent 2 nights here and explored the Westfjords from Finna Hotel which we can definitely recommend. Big thanks to Kathy for making our time that much more fun!
