If you are looking for that very unique stay, this place is for you! Very remote and relaxing location and cozy, which is surprisingly wonderful in a concrete tower!

We stayed on the fourth floor and the room was just big enough for my husband and I. It had all the amenities we were looking for and a smaller space. It has a small kitchenette with a little table that we eat small meals, comfortable bed and nice shower.

We absolutely loved the observatory with the 360 degrees view and a cozy blanket that is on the bench. We were blessed with seeing the Northern Lights on our last night there!! Absolutely stunning for us because it was our first time seeing such a wonder, and the backdrop of the tower made our pics that more delightful to have with the lights. Beautiful sunrise as well.

When I booked the room in the tower, I spoke with someone who was extremely helpful and accommodating to our needs. Thank you so much for making our trip so memorable!

If my memory serves me correctly, I believe there was only four total rooms, plus the observation deck. Keep in mind that there is no elevator and you will be climbing a spiral staircase, so you will want to keep your luggage light, especially if you’re there in winter like we were.

I can’t say enough great things about our stay with them and I would HIGHLY recommend this place to stay.

We’ve just spent 3 nights in the tower In apartment 4. Which is the top one. The next floor above is the observation floor which is all windows for great panoramic views.
If you’re afraid of heights ask for a lower apartment as the stairs to this are on the outside.
It’s a decent size room, comfy bed and a bathroom.
The kitchen is only a fridge, cupboard, sink and 2 jobs and a kettle. No oven or toaster or microwaves so if you plan on eating in make sure it’s something you can cook on a hob. A toaster would have been helpful. That’s the only downside.
There is a little table with 2 bar stools to sit at. Not the comfiest but did for the length of time we were in the apartment. We slept well despite the wind we could hear outside (44mph), and the tower did not move or shake once. It was very sturdy so I wasn’t scared being that high up.
It’s a great central location for geysir, waterfalls and hot springs. Each apartment had a parking spot. Easy enough to check in and find it.
I would definitely recommend it. It’s very quirky and unique. And there’s a photo book in the observation tower of the timeline it took to convert the tower to what you see today. Very clever!

Everything you could ask for and more. Wish we could’ve came here earlier in the year to watch the northern lights from the top floor!! Extremely well taken care of and just a lovely place for a night out near the golden circle

This is that unique and romantic stay that you will enjoy for sure. We spend our last Icelandic night in the Tower Klettar Hotel and it was perfect. There are 5 floors in total. 4 studios and on the 5th floor is the cosy observation area. The studios are small, but very well arranged so you have enough space for 2 people. The bathroom is quite large, with hot water running instantly. (This is important during winter)
There were 2 small thing that bothered us. The room was a bit smelly, as the previous occupants cooked and the food smell stayed.
The room is not well isolated so every time someone is using the stairs, you will have like an echo in the room.
Bear in mind, there are no shops or restaurants near by. Everything is within driving distance.
In any case, we loved our stay, will gladly return there.

Really enjoyed our stay here and got our first glimpse of the northern lights from the parking lot. The viewing room at the top is really unique and fun. The room is comfortable and warm. Would stay here again.

The room was beautiful and the observation deck was seriously awesome! The only thing that stops me from giving this place 5 stars is the lights from the neighbors being on all night. It certainly wasn’t the darkest place to see the northern lights, but as far as stays go I’d absolutely recommend it!

This may be the greatest place to stay I’ve ever been at. The location, tower, rooms, and observation deck was even better than I expected. I would highly recommend anyone stay here that wants to stay in the area. The only thing is that you can hear footsteps and people talking above you, but trust me that is the least of your worries. Just grab a pair of ear plugs and you’ll be fine. Honestly I would pay the room rate just to sit in the observation deck.

It was good for a couple, not a family as only 2 people can fit in a room. It was a pain to take luggage up and down the stairs. Very clean and nice otherwise!!! The top of the silo has clear roof, which during winter would be amazing to see the aurora. But it was cold and windy when we climbed up so it is good to be prepared for that.
