We stayed at the Sunna Guest house for two nights in a deluxe room with a private bath. The room was a good value for Reykjavík and the location was perfect for our stay with sights, restaurants and shops close by. There was ample free parking available. Check in was easy. Please do note that there are no elevators but we managed even with our luggage. We did not pay for their breakfast since we had a fridge and kettle in our room. Our room was comfortable but basic. The neighborhood was quiet at night on a Sunday and Monday night.

Terrific location right in the city centre. It is within short walking distance to restaurants, supermarkets, pubs and other amenities. The Hallgrimskirkja church is just across the street. The only complaint is the building painting and maintenance were ongoing at the time of stay which caused the paint smell to be strong in the room.

Отличный гестхаус в центре Рейкявика!
Нас предупреждали что часть здания находится на реконструкции, но мы ничего не слышали. Было тихо )) Гестхаус по типу блока. В одном блоке 3 номера, туалет, душ и кухня. Очень удобно. Кухня полноценно оборудована для приготовления пищи. Единственное сковорода была слишком поцарапана и она уже не пригодна к использованию.
Номер был уютный, чистый, так же как и кухня, туалет и душ. Мы бронировали номер на двоих, а заселили нас в 3х местный номер, но мы были сами). Горячая вода, отопление, wifi, всё отлично! В номерах есть полотенце. Фен не увидела. Приветливый персонал. Возле стойки регистрации есть комната ожидания с туалетом. Очень выручает когда ждешь заселения. Так же можно оставить багаж бесплатно)
Мы были только одну ночь. Минусов не нашла.
За номер за двоих заплатили 136€/ сутки.
Всё понравилось. Рекомендую

Nice little hotel. America's will not be accustom to not have a TV in the room and having a shared bathroom and shower. The location is great for exploring the area on foot. The church bell rings every 15 min, but stops at 10 pm and does not start until 10am

We had the downstairs apartment with two large double bedrooms, lounge room, bathroom and kitchen. It was a very comfortable apartment. There is also a coin operated laundry. The staff were very helpful and this apartment is well located to the main streets and grocery store. Wifi worked well. The bus from the airport dropped us at the Hallgrimskirkja church which was only a 5 minute walk.

Location was great. Only a few min walk downtown. The area is quite and cozy. You get what you pay for here. Breakfast was decent and will satisfy most.

I am appalled by the disgraceful experience my elderly parents (in their 70’s) endured at Sunna Guesthouse in Iceland. This establishment's staff, led by the deceitful manager Gabi Justyna Gabryszewska, exhibited shocking dishonesty and blatant racism during my par-ents' stay from September 4th to 6th, 2024. I booked the hotel room for my parents’ Iceland-ic tour from Hong Koong. On the morning of their check-out, my father was blindsided by a baseless accusation of water damage supposedly discovered during routine cleaning. De-spite my father's immediate denial and photographic evidence proving otherwise, the issue conveniently couldn't be resolved due to the manager's conspicuous absence. This was just the beginning of a calculated scheme to exploit elderly tourists who were not fluent in English. The following day, I was hit with an unauthorized charge of 90,000 ISK (approxi-mately $655 USD and ~$600 EURO) on my credit card for the fabricated water damage. Over the next two weeks, my attempts to reach Gabi were met with silence and evasion. The one brief phone call we managed to have was filled with empty promises of a follow-up that nev-er materialized. Sunna Guesthouse's claim of a "large puddle of water" was a complete fab-rication, designed to extort money from vulnerable guests. It's clear that the alleged damage was pre-existing, yet Gabi and her team chose to exploit my parents' limited English profi-ciency to concoct this outrageous lie. My father’s photo clearly demonstrated that the dam-age was extensive and had accumulated dirt, indicating the water damage was present long before my parents’ stay. This appalling behavior highlights the dishonest and racist nature of Sunna Guesthouse's staff. I urge potential guests to avoid this hotel at all costs. Don't fall victim to their deceitful practices and discriminatory treatment.
