We had such a great experience! The host is so kind, and made us feel completely at home. The location is beautiful, right on the fjord and the sea. The rooms are charming and there is a shared equipped kitchen. There is a lovely breakfast and a well maintened hot tub. It was really everything you could hope for in a guesthouse. The area around is also so beautiful and less touristy. A must!

Der Inhaber war unheimlich nett und erzählte uns viel von seinem Land. Das Frühstück war richtig gut mit vielen regionalen Produkten. Wir haben uns dort unheimlich wohlgefühlt.

Das Gasthaus in Grenivik ist das, was man sich unter einem perfekten Gästehaus vorstellt. Der Gastgeber ist ein super freundlicher, dynamischer und hilfsbereiter Vermieter. Wir hatten eine herrliche Zeit an einem herrlichen Ort und super tollen Austausch sowohl mit Gästen als auch mit dem Vermieter. Sollten wir wieder einmal nach Island kommen können, werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder in Grenivik einkehren.

We werden bij aankomst gelijk hartelijk ontvangen door de gastheer. Een gezellig praatje en een rondleiding door zijn mooie guesthouses. Alles was netjes en schoon. Het was super onderhouden. Mooie en nette kamers. Vooral de badkamer ook ergens netjes. Het ontbijt was goed verzorgd en de gastheer kwam gezellig praatjes maken. Weet veel over het eiland en vertelt daar enthousiast over. Zit op een mooie locatie. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar en echt een aanrader. Wij waren er twee nachten.

This was our most wonderful stay in Iceland. Ingolfur, the owner, was an incredible host, and offered the best advice for treks and the surrounding area. The guest house is entirely new and the breakfast is from locally grown food. The owner also showcases local designers, for example, the blankets, the shampoo, the keychains, etc. In summary, as sustainable and quiet, place to enjoy the beauties of Iceland.

Excellent place to stay if your exploring the Northern coast. Hot tub was wonderful after a day of exploring. The views of the fjord in the morning were amazing. Host was very nice and stopped by to see how we were doing and the proper use of the hot tub. Village is small with only a small restaurant for food options in town, although Akureyri is a short drive away with all the amenities. While the building is located at a "major" intersection of the village there was little to no traffic and was very quiet.
