We spent a night at the Artun heading to Akureyri from Godafoss. The setting is deep rural, we had to get off Route-1 for a bit and drive on mud roads with livestock and horses freely roaming around to reach the guest house. It is very quiet and peaceful, with excellent vistas all around.

Abbiamo alloggiato in una casetta a pochi passi dalla reception. Parcheggio adiacente all'entrata. La casetta è di grandi dimensioni ma con la stanza matrimoniale piccola. Cucina ben fornita di elettrodomestici e portico con la griglia.

Our cute little cottage was comfy, and the porch was a nice touch, not to forget the beautiful view looking out towards the coast. Loved how everything inside the cottage was wood finish and the private bathroom inside was a relief. The location was good, easy to find, and food was nearby. Thank you!!

Nous avons passé une nuit dans le petit chalet blanc d'Artun Guesthouse. Construction récente. (Il y a d'autres chambres dans le bâtiment principal et un autre chalet). Peut-être un peu loin de la route #1 (environ 12km), mais cela en vaut le détour. Tranquillité assurée! Les propriétaires sont très gentils. Tout l'équipement nécessaire pour cuisiner. Super propre. Deux chambres; lits confortables. Wi-fi. Superbe vue sur les montagnes. Très belle douche.

This was one of the the most perfect accommodations in our whole Iceland trip. The house is located just by the side of Eyjafjörður. It is well decorated, has any kitchen tool you may need, it has underfloor heating, bathroom is clean, the beds are pretty comfy. The owners of the place were also so helpful and friendly. They were smiling from the very first moment and they showed every help we may need including the tips about northern lights:) It is possible to take photos of the lights in the backyard as we did but you can also take a little ride up those hills of Akureyri and find a more beautiful location.

My wife and I stayed in the blue guesthouse for 4 nights. The accomodations were more than adequate. The guest cabin was very clean, and well-enough equipped for us to make a few small meals and hang out and relax without feeling like we were in each other's way. There were no issues with the WiFi.||||We did not partake in the breakfast option, so we cannot opine on it. The ability to make our own breakfasts for a couple of days was much more satisfying.||||The lady who checked us in spoke very limited English. Admittedly, she spoke far more English than I speak Icelandic. Suffice it to say the exchange was very short. Upon checkout we spoke with Benedict, who speaks much more English. He was very polite and pleasant.||||The drive to Akureyri is about 25 minutes, but it is not difficult and we prefer to be out of town. The lack of city lights also provides for excellent aurora borealis viewing. Watching them over the fjord was spectacular!||||The only real suggestion I would make is the NEED for some sort of shampoo/soap shelf in the shower.
