Frances and Ian were outstanding hosts. Not only were the facilities top notch, they personally made us feel at home right from the start. Breakfasts were great, but probably the quality we appreciated the most was their willingness to talk about life in Iceland, as the differences between here in the US and there, were of utmost interest to us. Their stories were wonderful, as well as their suggestions about what we might like to see in Iceland of all the options that were available to us. We had also pre-booked a full-day bus trip to the Golden Circle on our 2nd day in the country, and were pleased to find out that it was going to be Ian who would be our guide. Not surprisingly, that worked out very well for us, with Ian doing an outstanding job of describing not only the Iceland sights themselves, but all the colorful background of each. Top shelf stuff. We would hardily recommend Privileged B&B to anyone who is interested in learning about this fascinating country from people who have a great knack for telling the story.

Frances and Ian were fantastic to stay with. Their place is clean, meals were great but it was their kindness that made our stay with them. Ian made 2 trips to the airport for us after hearing our flight was delayed and picked us up after midnight, which was not in the original plan. After discovering our luggage did not arrive with us, Ian and Frances found clothes and shoes for us to wear and continued to provide us with a wonderful Icelandic experience. Frances drove me to a shop after 10pm on our second night when our luggage still had not turned up. On top of their fantastic hospitality we also saw the Northern Lights just out the front of their guesthouse. We had a wonderful stay in Iceland and it’s all thanks to Ian and Frances.

I would recommend stopping here to anyone. The b and b is in a very convienent location for those who wish to catch a bus to Reykjavik and surrounding areas. If you're interested in tours then this is the place to stay as Ian is a guide with gateway to Iceland, which offer a good variety of tours. Not only is it in a good location, but Ian and Frances are lovely hosts and make you feel very welcome. They are also really knowledgeable about Iceland and it's culture, so if you're interested in learning more about Iceland, this is the ideal place to stay!

Ian and Frances were the consummate hosts. It became very apparent they both had experience in the tourism industry as the guesthouse, home cooked meals and tours were all top rate. We were definitely privileged to have Ian take us on private, specialized tours of The Golden Circle, Snæfellsnes Peninsula and the Highlands. From fire to ice...volcanoes, glaciers, waterfalls and geysers, we saw it all! We highly recommend the entire package. It’s an experience we will never forget and believe the same will be true for you. Thank you Frances and Ian. Rally on!

We actually visited as a family about 7 years and I never got round to leaving a review but we're looking to visit Iceland again and this property came up. The hosts were lovely, very accomodating and helpful. The homecooked food was amazing. It was a warm and welcoming atmosphere and spotlessly clean. Although a little out of the way with regards to the city (but not too far), we enjoyed the location as it was quiet and peaceful and I would have booked again had it not been full.

We had a great weekend staying at the B&B and especially enjoyed the warm welcome by Frances and Ian. The place is just a bit outside Reykjavik, with lovely rooms, amazing views, and a hot tub that is available to use on request (we never did as we enjoyed the hot springs, however a nice feature to have). As our time was short, the owners were really helpful providing us with great local tips and advice on what to see in our short time there. We'll definitely be back again and can only recommend if you are looking for a place where it feels like visiting family rather than staying in yet another hotel.

Excellent, we were made to feel at home and the evening food was fantastic. Ian was an excellent tour guide and made are trip. knowledge of the area was excellent. would 100% recommend to anyone wanting to travel and see the sites of Iceland.
