From the outside, the cottages look very luxurious. From the inside, unfortunately, they are not really. There is no TV, no small table, the toilet lid was broken, the sheet torn. Hot water was available for 10 minutes, then it was over. When you take a shower, everything in the bathroom is flooded. It was very bright in the room despite the curtains.

You have to walk to the cottages, but you are attacked by the birds that nest there (it is currently breeding season). I personally find it a pity that you have to build something like this right there, for the birds it is certainly stressful. We were allowed to drive with the car directly to our cottage, because the birds defend their territory really aggressive - although you are not allowed otherwise.

Also the view is not really nice, you look at the road and the few surrounding restaurants. It looks much better on the Google photos.

The breakfast was okay. At 9 o'clock almost everything is gone or cold.

Prachtige cottages, met ruime woon-/slaapkamer en een ruime, moderne badkamer. Het bed is groot en slaapt prima.
De locatie is geweldig, rustig, en vlakbij de prachtige rotskust en andere bezienswaardigheden.
Wij konden 's nachts het noorderlicht naast het huisje bekijken en fotograferen.
Minpuntje: het apart bij te boeken ontbijt bij het hotel is prijzig maar niet heel erg uitgebreid.

I don’t recommend staying here. Don’t waste your money.
1. We are not allowed to park next to the cottage. When walking from parking lot back to the cottage we were attacked by 4 birds and almost needed to turn back to the car!
2. Room temperature was too hot and there was no way to adjust it. If we open the door the flies keep coming in.
3. Shower tub was way too slippery. I slipped and triggered my back injury unfortunately. Do they have the liability?
4. Was half way through the shower and realized that the bathroom would not drain! Water started flooding over the whole bathroom. Instead of sending us a new room key they asked us to get our luggage out and drive back to the reception. (Our hair still wet and now we have to dry and pack to move again).

Small basic rooms. Good enough for a night. Depending on which unit you get it can be a little walk down the gravel path to your unit. Would be nice to have a fan in the room. The floor was still a little wet from the previous cleaning between clients. A fan would help dry it out.

Avevamo il cottage n.10: moderno, toni del grigio, bagno grandissimo. Insomma fantastico e a due passi dalla baia. Vicinissimo poi ci sono 3 ristoranti, quindi zona molto servita. Attenzione agli uccelli, particolarmente aggressivi, eh eh!

The bathroom shower had a leak. They knew about this issue and still put us in the room. It was our honeymoon. The front desk said nothing they could do but move us to the hotel if we wanted to now hear the leak all night long. Then they changed their mind and said they did have a cottage for us to move into. We ended up moving to the hotel because we didn’t want to deal with the move again. The hotel bathroom also had a leak but we were so tired we slept through it but we did leave the hotel one night early as we didn’t want to deal with it anymore. Pretty area but I would have rather slept in the van.

Super cozy and cute place to stay! The cottages are located close to Snaefellsjokull National Park and a decent driving distance to Kirkjufell. The cabins were great for a camping experience. We also saw the northern lights which was the cherry on top!

I just I wish there was more amenities provided like body lotion since the air was so dry!

Also the staff were so kind! Especially the brunette (sorry I should have asked for her name) who was relatively new but was super helpful.

Great concept and lovely coastal location. The cottages are quiet and adequately sized for two people. However, the lighting was poor and there was no storage, except in the bathroom. Promising to find a kettle, fridge and microwave, but there was no further equipment except a couple of mugs and glasses. Fortunately we had our own plates and cutlery. Small amount of tea and coffee provided, but no soap in the bathroom. No attempt at cleaning or housekeeping; only the bin was emptied daily. These cottages have the potential to be extraordinary, if only more thought for the client experience was applied.
