We zijn hier een nacht geweest tijdens onze reis door Ijsland. De B&B is handig geleden. Pluspunten zijn wat ons betreft de eigenaren die supervriendelijk zijn en hun best deden het ons als gast naar de zin te maken. Verder was het ontbijt zeer goed verzorgd! Voor deze prijsklasse een geweldige accommodatie.

I recently stayed at Bitra Guesthouse and was very pleased with my experience. The guesthouse is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff is VERY friendly and helpful. The location is peaceful and quiet, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The price is very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the accommodations and the excellent breakfast included.

Needed a one night stay in this area on our way back from the eastern side of the Island. Hotel Selfoss sold out right in front of me, so we needed another option. This guesthouse was available with a 2 bedded room with private bathroom (sorry--not sharing a bathroom!). Made the reservation and received confirmation for a check-in just a few hours later.||Now I have never stayed in an accommodation such as this so I was a bit uncertain how things would be. I had also read reviews that said you will hear noise from the rooms around you. ||Found it easily and drove up. You are asked to remove your shoes at the door and use a pair of their plastic-like shoes while in the house. When we were led downstairs, I was a bit nervous because downstairs is usually cold. Settled into our room. Everything seemed very clean and the bathroom looked relatively new. ||Everyone was quiet a little after 11pm and we slept well here. In the morning (not super early) we could hear others a bit. Our room was next to the only other one with the private bathroom so we were a bit away from the other rooms and their bathroom. A light in the room had a USB port. Don't put things in the window--I folded a top and left it there overnight and the condensation on the window made it wet. oops. ||The breakfast was very good--it was a continental-style breakfast. Cereals, yogurt, breads, cheese, some meats. Coffee and tea. No hot options other than toasting your bread. We found it satisfying. ||Enjoyed our stay here and the location was perfect for our trek back to the western side of Iceland.

This guesthouse saved us when another reservation got botched. The lower level small bedrooms are clean and tidy. The bathrooms are clean as well. Lovely place. Many rooms upstairs too. Not sure what the complaining about feeling like a dungeon is about. It’s downstairs and if you expect the Marriott you should go there! Each room has a window and the owner and facilities are lovely. Great value near Selfoss. We really liked our stay here. Free bountiful breakfast as well!

I stayed on a double room with shared bathroom, it was clean, comfortable, and a welcoming breakfast. This is a family run hotel, or so it seems, but is a nice clean stay for a great price.
My only recommendation is to bring your own shampoo as there was none provided.

This is undoubtedly one of the very best guesthouses in Iceland. Other places may have individual things that are better, but they can not match the overall quality of this place. It starts from the moment that you arrive. there is someone to meet and assist you if you need help. Like many Icelandic places, shoes are not allowed inside. They have slippers of all sizes waiting for you. The rooms are nice, clean, and airy. The shared toilets and showers are very good. The communal room is very nice and well used. It is stocked with games and books and has coffee, tea, and water available. There is no communal kitchen, but there snacks and instant meals for sale at the desk, The included breakfast is excellent.

! Colazione ottima! Le stanze sono minimal, non dispongono di armadi. Perfetta la posizione per visitare il circolo d’oro e le cascate di gullfoss e sellfoss. Host molto accogliente.

Clean and pleasantly furnished guesthouse. Nice and helpful staff. Perfect breakfast. Nicely furnished common areas with kitchen. Our room was in the attic with a sloping ceiling and a double bed. The room was only slightly larger than the bed. Besides the bed, there was a miniature table in the room. There was nowhere to store suitcases and backpacks. The bathroom facilities are common to the entire floor.
