Really nice hostel! We stayed for two separate nights and were very happy with it. Clean, quiet, and convenient to the best place in Reykjavik to witness the northern lights. The staff was super friendly and full of tips, and made pancakes one of the mornings! We alternated between the bus and walking to get to the center, bus is reliable and walk is lovely. Would definitely stay again.

Would love to give four stars, because of the friendly staff who offered us free breakfast and overall nice location. However, we slept in the little side hut located next to the blue house and have to say that it's really obvious it was once meant to be a garage. Because of the thin walls the house never got warm even when the heater was on for several hours and it didn't feel isolated from the cold weather outside (we stayed in December) Plus, my boyfriend hated the showers, says they were moldy

Blue house is just fantastic. It's in a nice location. The rooms are very clean. You have space for parking. Zeno is such a great host. If you stay here don't miss out on his cooking which is amazing!!!

Super cozy, quiet, perfect location & FRIENDLY. When I arrived, the B&B was fully booked. I doubted double booking, but it was my fault. I did book for wrong year by mistake. The staff their immediately looked for a reasonable hotel and gave us useful tips though we were not their guest!
And everything he shared with us was truly useful and great! We could see the Northern light following his lovely advice on the night!!! I would definitely come back to this B&B!

I do not recommend this place if you are looking for quiet, sleep, easy access to a bathroom or any semblance of privacy. The whole house creaks badly. We went to try to catch the lights so we were out a bit late, quietly returned but were met with loud children’s footsteps and both bathrooms occupied before 7am. I waited almost 30 mins to use the restroom. There’s nothing within walking distance (food, viewpoints, etc) and the light pollution was strong so we had to drive to see the northern lights. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of respect for noise and others sleeping from the other guests. Also our room had a slanted ceiling over the bed so my partner and I both hit our heads. The tv did not work. Not our favorite place by a long shot. Parking was the easiest thing.

Loved our stay at blue house b&b. We stayed three nights with our kids in the Nes family room which was spacious and had a lovely ocean view. Nice quiet area but close to down. Breakfast was simple but great to have it included as eating in Iceland is very expensive. Would definitely stay again if we find ourselves back in Iceland.

Our first night in Iceland. First impression of the building was a little disappointing (owners could do some maintenance on painting and presentation of the outside of the building), but our room was nice and the service of the 2 girls managing the property was fantastic. Location is also great - a quiet area but very near the city center and main attractions of Reykjavik.
