Came here with my friends. There is currently some updates being made to the property but it wasn’t a problem. Adalsteinn showed us around the guesthouse and is super friendly. ||Our room was very clean, and I could have sworn there is a nice pine smell. The beds are firm and comfortable. There was also a sink in the side in the corner. ||There are 2 washrooms and a shower room, which were clean. The shower room has a good amount of space to hang your belongings and to get dress. ||Adalsteinn was super helpful and recommended places for us to visit in Husavik, and where to eat. Breakfast was also set up and ready by 8. Good breakfast. ||I would say the highlight of the stay was that you can see the aurora borealis and stars from the back during a clear night.

This was my favorite place that we stayed in Iceland! I wish that we had more time because I would have loved to stay even longer than we had! The host was so helpful and friendly. The guest house was really clean and cute. He had everything there that we might need including tea, a warm small pool outside, cutlery and dishes, a sink in the room. There are only 4 rooms in the house, so it definitely didn’t feel crowded. The breakfast was included and had so many options. He also has a really nice coffee maker. I would 100% recommend this place!

One of my favorite places I stayed during my trip. I was greeted as soon as I arrived and also was shown the entire house by the host. The house includes a very nice dining/living room area and a small nook for preparing tea or hot chocolate and also a small fridge for food storage. My room was spacious with a double bed and sink inside the room. The bathroom area is shared, but has two separate toilets and one shower, and I never had a problem waiting. The house is super clean, homey, and welcoming. The breakfast being included is a nice touch!

While on a 10-day Ring Road drive around Iceland, three of us booked one night here. We were met by the owner, a friendly and helpful gentleman. Our room had three single beds, was pleasantly decorated, and had a nice view of the countryside. ||||Everything in the room looked, felt, and smelled clean as a whistle. The bed was firm but very comfortable, and the small sink in a corner came in handy for nighttime sips of water. Everyone slept very well in this quiet, rural guest house. ||||The shared bathroom was well-planned and spotless. The shower was completely separated from the rest of the bath, and featured a private modern shower with plenty of hot water. The two toilet stalls are super private, with walls and doors that completely protect the modesty of the occupants. Two sinks complete the shared bath. ||||There is a shared living-dining room with large windows and comfortable furniture. A hot tub is available for guests, but we did not use it. ||||Breakfast the following morning was great. Typical Icelandic foods such as an assortment of breads, fruit, cereal, and beverages. There are small kitchen appliances, including a refrigerator, and kitchen ware for guests to use too, a nice touch. While we ate, the owner chatted with us about Icelandic gardening, asked what our plans were, and offered suggestions for sightseeing along our route. We followed his sage advice and were very grateful that he suggested those places. ||||If you're looking for a quiet, clean place with warm and welcoming hosts, you found it. If we're ever fortunate enough to return to this beautiful corner of Iceland, we will definitely stay here again.

We stayed one night in this newly renovated guesthouse with shared bathroom. It is very lovely, though a bit hard to find (look out for the bright blue house with flower garden). The materials used for the renovation are of high quality and gives this place a warm atmosphere. The rooms are small, but totally sufficient with a double bed and a sink. The bathroom is shared with the other rooms and consists of 2 toilets a sink and a shower. Everything is very clean and nicely decorated.||The host is great! He is very welcoming, friendly and funny and likes to answer all your questions about Iceland. We definitely recommend this place!

At Laugar, heading west, you turn off the Ring Road to the right, and when you get to the sign board just over the stream you go right again down a dirt road to the end - and there it is. Quiet, cosy, nice. A hot tub (only just warm) is outside and great as long as the wind is not blowing. Nice host with lots of info about Icelandic and local history. Good beds, hot showers, (rooms are small) with a large dining/lounge area. No cooking food preparation but toaster, microwave, jug, coffee maker, cutlery and plates are available. The prepared breakfast was simple but nice and plentiful. We liked it.

Comfortable room, great host, close to restaurant and not too far from the Nature Baths. This is our favorite place to stay in Iceland, and we will for sure be back. The breakfast is traditional Scandinavian style - fresh and tasty. The shared bathroom was more private than I imagined - two toilet stalls with separate full doors inside a larger bathroom that includes a double sink and a shower with it's own door. It was not a problem at all. This is a great place to have as your base while you explore the less touristy parts of Iceland.

This is on of the best places to stay in winter time with a camping van, it is all year open (in between Egilsstadir and Blönduos). We spent one afternoon in the near (only 1 km away) Sundlaug Swimming pools, at night we used the summer-kitchen, everything worked fine. The price was pretty fair, the Host can be contacted almost any time through phone, and he was happy to give some directions, suggested to visit famous places when we asked. It is worth mentioning, that the road to the camping site is pretty tight and a little bit elevated from the surroundings, therefore when there is a big snow (30-40 cm) it is pretty hard to navitate to stay on the road, WE SLIPPED INTO THE DITCH AND GOT STUCK in our rented camping van, in the middle of north-iceland AND: "not all heroes wear capes" is true to that man, he got immidiately his 4X4 and helped us out from our unfortunate situation. Therefore I can only suggest to take this opportunity and stay there if you happen to go there. 🙂
