Small and cozy campsite with everything what you need. There is a kitchen place (not heated, but very useful to have), clean toilets and bathrooms with hot water and a shared room where you can sit, warm up, eat and hang out. The owner is super helpful, nice and friendly. This is a privetly owned campsite and by staying here you're supporting a local business. I would definitely recommend it and come back.

It was one of the best campsites we stayed at in Iceland. We stayed here for 2 nights. There is a kitchen and lounge. If you come here in winter like us, it's wonderful not to have to cook and eat outside. Everything is clean and the owner is nice.

Extremely disappointed. There is no hot water, the kitchen is not heated and there is no easy access to the common room. There is no water in the kitchen and no garbage bin in the common area. The washer and dryer are the most expensive we have experienced so far and the water pressure is very low. Also, the parking space is not paved, when it is wet it is all muddy and dirty…If you have other options, please do not stay there it is for the beat.

Not a comfortable stay in winter.
The non-sensical design of the facilities is making it difficult to use during winter. First the kitchen is not only not heated, its open door and it has no water. The water you can use for cooking is in the common area. The kitchen and the common room are different rooms. But the sink at the common room is not equipped with a trash can. So you have to go back to the kitchen. This all would’ve worked if the rooms were connected from inside the building with a corridor. Unfortunately here you have to go outside and walk around the house to get into different rooms. We stayed in a day with severe winds. And after a day of travelling we need to make dinner as easily as possible. It seems like the owner doesn’t know about the priorities people have when camping, or maybe doesn’t care. It’s always a bad sign when you see a business arguing with customers in the comments and trying to discredit them. Kitchen itself was clean, with working time until 22:00. Washing and drying 1600 ISK. Owner has an unpleasant attitude and doesn’t seem to possess the qualities to work in the service industry. I do not recommend to stay in winter.

The camping is not good. Feels like no thought was given from the perspective of a guest. Nothing makes sense the way it's designed. There is a common room, but no bins inside it, no washing liquid. You have to go all day way around the house in freezing temperatures to throw you garbage. Then you have to prepare the food outside because the kitchen is not heated, go back inside around the house to wash your hands and cutlery because the sinks are not working in the kitchen.

I took a shower and the water stopped in the middle of it, so I have to wait 5mins to come back. There was no soap or paper in the men's room.

Everywhere is full of mud, feels a bit like a pig farm not camp site. And you take all of it inside your camper... The owner says it's because of the weather and it's not his fault but snow is melting everywhere in Iceland, just that the rest of the sites have nets or gravel and understand maintenance.

The owner is a peculiar and has the attitude that he owns Iceland and if it wasn't for his camp site, you'd die. The next camp site is 40 mins away. Go there! Trust me! I spoke with the rest of the guests and they said this is the worst conditions they've had so far in Iceland.

The place sucked. Avoid it at all costs. Common room is closed after 10 p.m. The washing machine and dryer are too expensive and the kitchen is open and cold. Comparing to other camping sites I visited for my 14-day trip this was the worst experience.

Really nice place. It has everything you need (kitchen with plugs and 2 electric stoves that you can use, some pots and pans available, lounge area, washing machine and dryer, shower and toilets clean, little cabins if you don't want to sleep in the car and really nice and quiet,we had the best view of the northern lights last night) The host is a really nice guy, wish every place had all these extras. 100% recommend if you are in the area of Gođafoss (only 16km from the campsite) We had the best experience?

Great little campsite, amazing location to see the northern lights above and the campsite owner even takes into consideration the amount of light the site has so you get the best view of them.
Kitchen and bathrooms are clean, the kitchen was cold as it was on the outside of the property but you warm up once you start to cook, the lounge area at the back is very warm and cosy.
Owner is a really nice chap, very accommodating and friendly, after reading other reviews about how he is “rude” or “unfriendly” I can see clearly that it was their problem and not a fault of his.
