Upon arrival, you are greeted by a VERY cute dog, you follow the signs to reception and into what seems to be the front door of the owners house, you ring a bell and the owner will come and walk you out to your room. The rooms are nice, and with a shared kitchen for every three rooms. In the mornings the dog can be found lounging in the sun, and is appreciative of some more pats! Overall the dilksnes guesthouse is a great place to stay, an old style authentic guesthouse.

My stay was very comfortable. The room was very comfortable, spacious, and clean. During my ten days stay in Iceland this was the only place that gave me a portable fan (I was surprised to see that some days in Iceland can be very warm). I also had shared kitchen which was clean and well equipped - I just used the fridge and coffee maker - there was ample searching space in the kitchen that I did not use.

Very solid. Just off Hwy 1 and a quick 900 meters down the first turn off to the right on the road into Hofn. Nice people. Four rooms (more were coming soon). Well done, nice private bathroom w/room. Shared kitchen outside the room. A bit of tourist info in the common space. ||One of the rooms has a private deck which was wonderful to sit on and watch it get dim in the evening, if not exactly dark in May. 5 minutes into Hofn. Great spot on the SE coast.

Un très bon rapport qualité prix.
L'accueil est impeccable.
Les chambres sont très bien. Le logement est propre. La salle de bain est commune aux 2 chambres. Nous étions seul ce jour là.
Notre hôte a été formidable avec nous. Il nous a été d'un très grand secours, alors que notre voiture était en panne.
Nous y retournerons lors de notre prochain séjour.

We were traveling around the southeastern part of Iceland and needed a place to stay overnight. I chose Dilksnes Guesthouse because it looked like it was a little less expensive than others in the area plus it had it's own bathroom that was not shared. We arrived around 6 p.m. and the check in was to knock on the owner's front door. They came out and walked us to the guesthouse and briefly told us what to do and they then left us alone. What a pleasant surprise this guesthouse was! First, it appears to be brand new. Nice clean updated facility with a great kitchen that is used by all three guestrooms in the house. The bathroom is large and clean. The beds extremely comfortable. The heat is in the floor and it permeates up into the room in a quiet and extremely comfortable way. They did not miss a thing when they built this house. I cannot say enough about this facility (no tv if this is what you need) and I highly recommend it to others!

Had a vonderfull time there. Great service and a beautifull location. A very nice room with wonderfull view. Mountains and glaciers for a view is not bad and had great recommendation for restaurants in Höfn wich had really good food. Well done!

Ottima guesthouse immersa nel verde, a pochi minuti di auto dal centro di Hofn. ||Abbiamo prenotato un appartamento con 2 camere da letto (6 posti letto) che si trovava nel seminterrato dell'edificio principale. ||Nonostante questo era ben illuminata e dotata di tutti i confort. Wifi ottimo, bagno con doccia spazioso. ||Cucina attrezzatissima, con prodotti lasciati da precedenti ospiti (olio, sale, spezie varie, ...) che non guastano mai per prepararsi un pasto. ||La famiglia che gestisce il posto super gentile e accogliente, nonostante abbiamo fatto il check in alle 9 di sera.
