We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and we definitely wished it would've been longer. The staff was very nice and answered the door, even as we arrived pretty late. The cottage was clean and cozy. Our highlight definitely were the hot, which can even be used at night and the view from the property. As the property is kept pretty dark at night, we had a beautiful view of the northern lights. The breakfast spread amazing.
Bonus points for the cute dog and the polar fox who is walking around the property.

Stayed one night at the guesthouse, which was great. Place is well furnished and clean -- and we were able to do laundry! It has a nice lounge area upstairs by the rooms where you can sit and relax. We met some interesting folks also staying there. And, of course, a tremendous view of the fjord. I definitely recommend this place.

In my opinion an ok option in east Iceland. We had one of the cottages there.
The good: the location is awesome for sunrise and sunset equally. The owner was very nice to give us unreserved habitation in a spontaneous manner.
The points for improvement: Maintenance is as usual in Iceland rather poor. Mattresses are done doing their job, also the rest is rather old. But the cottage was clean. Also service wise the organisation could be somewhat better. Also as usual very high price for what you get.

They also have a nice polar fox roaming around. We did not have breakfast included.

Cottage très bien agencé et confortable.
Le petit bain chaud dans un « faux bateau » avec vue mer et compris dans le prix de la chambre est très agréable.
Le site et la vue sont époustouflants!
Un merveilleux souvenir d’Islande.

Amazing location and even more awesome cottage, especially in winter. We had the pleasure of staying for a night and what an experience it was. The cabin was fully stocked, cosy and the best part was the view - when you step out you see the massive lake and the mountains ahead of you. We were quite lucky to see the Northern Lights, literally from the cabin. So if you're doing the ring road, it's a place you should definitely stop for the night.

Nosotros acampamos con furgoneta en temporada baja (abril), inmejorable ubicación, vistas a los fiordos y la carretera que llega al pueblo es increíble. Estuvimos casi solos (solo había 1-2 campers más). Baños y duchas incluidas en el precio, jacuzzi al aire libre que también se puede usar. Lo único que no había era alguna sala con cocina y mesas como en otros campings de invierno.

Absolutely stunning setting in the east fjords of Iceland. The accommodation was among the best we experienced during our second trip to Iceland, and the lady that owns the place was very welcoming and informative of the local area. The hot tub was fantastic, and the peace and quiet we enjoyed was exactly what we were looking for.
