We stayed here in August during a trip around the Ring Road and it was by far our favorite place!! It's a beautiful old farmhouse that was renovated into a bed and breakfast. It was incredibly scenic, clean and comfortable with an awesome breakfast. The owners were some of the friendliest people we met in the entire country; because the house has been in their family for generations you get a true sense of the history of Iceland. There are even pictures up of their ancestors who lived in the home which made everything feel extra special. Sitting in the hot tub on their beautiful deck with a view of their farm was such an amazing experience! Thanks for everything!!

We booked this place mainly to cut costs as two weeks in Iceland can get really pricey. We thought that we would bite the bullet and share a shower for a night.||||It ended up exceeding our expectations and being such a cute little spot. The owner is so lovely and really just wants you to see Iceland/the local area. It was clean and spacious and had a good breakfast included. We actually ended up really enjoying the shared shower!! We were finding in all of our hotel rooms in Iceland that the rooms were very small with little ventilation so a shower would turn the room into a sauna. That was not an issue here!! We actually really appreciated that. We also loved the dog, cat and lambs outside on property (Lol)!||||Would definitely recommend if you are OK with sharing a shower. Such a great value.

well hulda is a great host. her house is so nice and clean, he received us with nice smile. the rooms were clean and big and she allowed us also with an extra room as we were 3 adults and an infant and did not charge extra, such a nice and great gesture. the bed was big and super comfortable. WC was clean and big with hot water. breakfast was adequate. bet part is we could see the Norhtern light from her place very clearly. there is nice big hot tub and u can enjoy bathing there. overall a great stay in a good price. thanks a lot Hulda we will come back again surely.

Zwei süsse spielfreudige Hunde empfingen uns gleich zu Beginn. Die Gastgeberin ist extrem freundlich, wir durften unsere Wäsche sogar gratis waschen. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut, die Zimmer sehr schön und sauber. Der Bauernhof ist wunderbar in einem Tal gelegen, in der Nähe von Reykholt oder Husafell. Es hat Hunde, Kühe, Enten und (Haus-)Schafe. Absolut zu empfehlen, vor allem auch für den für Island-Verhältnisse günstigen Preis!

This was the first place we stayed on our trip and we had a very nice night. The daughter showed us inside the barn where we got to see the cows and new calves. The mother who runs the guesthouse was very nice as well. The blackout curtains were much appreciated, as we learned later on that not all hotels will have these! Breakfast was good the next morning, and there is even fresh milk from the cows if you would like to try it. We lucked out and did not have to share a bathroom while we were there, as we were the only occupied room on the floor, but to share with only one other room would not have been a problem. The water gets very hot, so be careful with the temperature! Wifi included. Was about half hour to Barnafoss, so convenient that way as well. 515 is a slow gravel road, so don't listen to your gps if it tells you to take the first right turn onto 515 coming from the south. Take the second 515 turn (it's a loop) and it will be closer to the guesthouse.

Die Gastgeberin war supernett und sehr hilfsbereit. Alles war sauber. ||||Unser Zimmer war sehr klein mit nur einem kleinen Tisch mit 2 Stühlen. Es gab kein Schrank oder sonstige Ablageflächen und kaum Platz für die Koffer. Es waren zwei Gemeinschaftsbäder mit Dusche und WC vorhanden. Bei 5 Zimmern ist das etwas wenig, da morgens dann Stau war. Im Bad gab es keine Ablageflächen.||||Man konnte die gut eingerichtete und große Gemeinschaftsküche nutzen. Dort gab es auch das sehr gutes Frühstück mit Brot, Wurst, Käse, Marmelade, Cerealien, Milch von den eigenen Kühen, etc.||||Ich finde das Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis sehr gut für Island mit 78,- EUR/Nacht incl. Frühstück.||||Wir würden hier auf alle Fälle wieder übernachten.

Le Guesthouse est perdu au milieu de rien mais il est très calme et reposant. Il y a un jacuzzi à disposition ainsi qu'une cuisine et un salon commun. La chambre est correcte et le lit est douillet. La salle de bain et les wc sont spacieux et sur le même étage que les chambres. Le petit-déjeuner est bon mais il n'y a rien d'exceptionnel. Nous devions partir tôt et la propriétaire nous a préparé le déjeuner en conséquence, c'est vraiment sympa. Elle a répondu à toutes nos demandes et est vraiment très gentille. La connexion wifi est bonne.

We received a warm welcome from Hulda on arriving at Geirshlid. The guesthouse is located on a little farm. We had booked dinner which was fabulous. The rooms are spacious and the hotpot (outside spa) an absolute delight. We will definitely come back again.
