Frábær staður og þjónusta sem allir ættu að prófa að gista og flott útsýni takk fyrir okkur

We had the cabin with a small kitchen (with microwave) and a bathroom. There was a communal kitchen for full cooking. The garden offered a great view and several chairs and benches. Very peaceful and quiet. The window could only open a little bit, but it was so quiet and safe here, that we could leave the front door wide open for fresh air and coolness. But it is 30 minutes drive to and 30 back from the next shop or supermarket.

Beautiful scenery, nice owner clean and comfortable rooms with shared kitchen equipped and another kitchen in the room. We had a good time and enjoyed the waterfall with 2 comfortable chairs that the owner placed.

Beautifully decorated and maintained guesthouse. I see from reviews that they used to serve breakfast, and while that wasn't the case during our stay in 2022, we were allowed to store food in the refrigerator and cook our own meals in the shared kitchen. Friendly and helpful host made the stay very pleasant. Tranquil setting with a waterfall behind the property and greenhouse with variety of plants and seating inside. It is out of the way, far from tourist sites, but was worth the extra drive. We loved our stay here!

A veery cozy place in a beautiful surrounding. The rooms are newly made with a big love for details. The owner is very friendly and gives the guests a warm welcome. Behind the guest house is a beautiful waterfall that lulles you to sleep. There is a nice and nite shared kitchen that you can use and even in the rooms a small kitchen area. Far the best place we stayed in Iceland!!! Granastadir, definitely a place you should go an stay! ?

Eine wunderschöne Unterkunft, etwas abgelegen, aber dafür sehr ruhig. Man hört nur die Schafe und das Rauschen des Wasserfalls. Absolut empfehlenswert.

I cannot sing Granastaðir's praises enough! This review is for a room with private bathroom, but I have absolutely no doubt that the other building that included shared bathrooms is just as lovely and clean. This is hands down the best property we stayed at during our 9 days in Iceland. It's not some pricey hoity toity hotel that makes it so nice - it's the love, good taste, and detail that went into designing every aspect of the place: from the efficiency of how the rooms are set up to the decor to the awesome breakfast that includes delicious homemade breads, cookies, and muffins. Oftentimes people appreciate when something is homemade, even if it doesn't taste the greatest, but Granastaðir's host, Svana, is an accomplished professional baker so you get homemade with deliciousness wrapped into one! Other little ways that show the love poured into this guesthouse include the fun, inspirational messages that can be found on the shower curtain, on the room keychain and in the dining room decor. We had a chance to chat with Svana, her husband and one of their daughters, and they are wonderful, intelligent folk who are very helpful and make you feel welcome. Our only regret is that we were only there for one night. Their professional pictures reflect how the rooms and surrounding area really look, so no worries that you're getting fooled. The value is excellent for the price. We wanted to find a place that was a little off the beaten path but not too remote, and Granastaðir was perfect.

Positive: The room is beautiful and the location on a river bank with a waterfall in the backyard. We found the plane spotless clean and apprentice being able to book it with very short notice. There is everything you will need in the kitchen to have a comfortable stay and prepare your own food. The host was super kind and helpful in sharing tips on what to do and where to see in the area.. Negative: Everything was perfect..
