Soon after covid pandemic, for 4 months we were just 2 guests in the whole of the guesthouse. I was calling it the "Icelandic Shining Guesthouse", but after the first week, already I was feeling at home. All nice, clean, comfortable and at hand. |The kitchen is both complete and easy to keep clean, the showers are warm and dry.| Vacuum cleaner, washing machine, dryer, dish washing machine all new and efficient, maniacally clean, and so they have to be kept. |Outside a nice garden to meet the girls bringing the dogs around |Sandgerdi is home to the fishermen, if you like it, the Greyhouse is perfect.

I stayed at the Graystone because I had an early flight the following morning and had to return my rental car at the airport. The place is bright, clean and impeccable in every way. The bed was good and so was the free coffee! The kitchen has everything one needs. Fortunately my fellow guests were considerate and quiet, because one can hear every sound that comes from the hallway and the kitchen. That is the only downside to this otherwise excellent (and very affordable) guesthouse.

very nice and clean, peaceful place.|Cozy and properly organized with all you need at a good quality vs. cost ratio. |As soon as arrived in Iceland, I was a guest for a few months, while looking to rent an apartment. |Still have good memories: the owners are very friendly, correct, and helpful. |We repaired one of the flagpoles and hoisted the flag for them! ||Staying longer in Sandgerdi there are options: |+ during weekends to visit the Marine Biology laboratory|+ to take a stroll on the beach or the port and see the seals |+ discover the nice surrounding from Gardur to the bridge over the continents and Gunnuhver |+ learn about the restaurants there and traditional Iceland cooking |+ . . . start creating your own history of Iceland . . .

It was my second stay in Graystone Guesthouse and it continues to be a most excellent place to stay. Beds and bedding are super comfy and everything is very clean, smart and modern. Having only a few rooms, and being single storey, it is very quiet and with no TVs in the rooms there is no “boom-boom“ coming though the walls. Superb showers too, with both a large “tropical” shower head as well as a smaller shower head. The kitchen is a great asset, especially when eating out is so expensive in Iceland. There is also a state-of-the-art coffee machine as well as a wide range of teas and this is all included too. Being able to bring in food and to cook/heat it up is really a most helpful bonus. All kitchen items are available and there is a dishwasher too. Graystone is only a few kms from Keflavík Airport, ideal for both late-in-the-day arrivals as well as early morning departures. Sandgerdi town too is a nice little place, an active fishing port, and the harbour is only a short stroll away.

Very clean and very stylish. The showers are amazing. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances, plates, cutlery, etc. There is also free tea and coffee. The owner is also very friendly and helpful. I contacted her by email a few times and she responded within minutes. The guesthouse is also very close to the airport. Thus, it is a nice quiet place to rest before leaving Iceland.

I booked this guesthouse as I had an early flight and this was about a 10 minute drive to the airport. ||||The owner was really helpful and quick to reply to emails and kindly offered a free upgrade for my short stay. ||||The location is very quiet and has ample parking right outside, the guesthouse is impeccably clean and the beds very clean and comfortable, I had the best nights sleep of my trip here. The shared shower and WC were just as spotless. ||||Great value for money and an ideal location for the airport if you have a rental car, this will be my first choice place to stay on my last night when I visit again.

Eric, the host, was great. We got stuck in Iceland for two additional days due to the blizzard and cancelled flights. We booked last minute when we couldn't fly out and we got instructions promptly how to access our room and explained we could help ourself to the bottom drawer in the kitchen to some cereal since it was a blizzard and couldn't make our way to the grocery store. He was very helpful in extending our stay when we couldn't get a flight out the next day. The place is very cozy, cute, very clean, and very good coffee. He even offered to upgrade our room since my husband and I had two twins for the following night. Highly recommend! Keep up the good work.

We had our last day before departure back home there . So it was just a view Hours sleep before leaving back home . And this was one of the best properties we had while we’ve been in Iceland . Wished we could have stayed longer .||The kitchen is well furnished and the bathroom is just awesome and it’s a shared one !
