Anna's has a lovely common room for breakfast and hanging out. Bryndis and Katarina were sweet, helpful employees, we loved them. We stayed here on each end of our trip and had two rooms each time. The rooms on the third floor were much more cozy and welcoming than #6 and 7 on the fourth floor which were more reminiscent of a cheap hotel. While the location near the bus station (BSI) is convenient the street noise could be a problem for those who need complete quiet to sleep. My companions all say they would return to Anna's because the staff was so warm and accommodating.

We loved our stay at Guesthhouse Anna. We stayed 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The room was spacious and the people at the reception were super helpful. They provided us with all that we needed. It is bang opposite the BSI terminal which makes it a good location. Reykjavik is very small so every place is walkable. The breakfast is also very nice for the price paid, a bit basic but that's Iceland everything is expensive so for the price you pay the breakfast is worth it. Would love to go back.

This is a great place to stay. It is clean, quiet, just across the street from the bus terminal, in a quiet residential area, yet close enough for easy walking to downtown. We had room #9 which was a corner room with a view. Private bath, but not ensuite which gave us more space in the room. The staff is wonderful and the breakfast is more than adequate.

Parking on the street just outside of the front door made transitioning our luggage a cinch. Friendly and welcoming staff. The facility was clean. The furnishings were classical and timeless. Yes, the breakfast was basic. But it was adequate. We enjoyed the ambience of the place with lots of outdoor and indoor sitting areas, and its convenient|| location. Will stay here again.

La guesthouse si trova in una posizione molto favorevole, vicino alla stazione dei bus (e quindi comoda da raggiungere dall'aeroporto) e a poca distanza dalla Hallgrimskirkja (meno di 10 minuti a piedi). Le camere sono abbastanza piccole ma molto pulite e confortevoli. La colazione è buona ed è servita in una sala/veranda che affaccia sul giardino, la struttura è tranquilla e il personale molto gentile. Consigliatissima

Nous avons passé une nuit lors de notre arrivée puis deux autres au retour lors de notre périple islandais.Anna est drôle et sympa. La maison est superbement meublée, les chambres sont nickel,les sanitaires collectifs spacieux, le petit déjeuner suffisant, manque le skir,Parfaitement située a 10 minutes maxi du port et des nombreux restaurants.La centrale des bus est au bout de la rue. Bonne adresse. Merci Anna.

Elegant central staircase, glassed-in common porch/sitting/reading area, really nice people in reception. However, the carpet in our room and the common breakfast room were both worn and dirty. There was no mattress pad of any sort on the bed; just a bottom sheet over the bare mattress. Had to pull the bed out a few inches to access the one outlet in the room. Be aware that not all rooms have TVs (though we did find a remote in the cabinet), and there wasn't a hairdryer (just a hairdryer nozzle in the closet). We stayed for 2 nights, and found out through experience they don't clean/service the rooms daily (maybe only if you leave the hang tag on the door?)

I've just completed a tour around the whole of Iceland and Guesthouse Anna was by far the worst accommodation I stayed at. The shower leaked water into the tiny room, there wasn't enough room to close the door of the toilet and sit comfortably, the breakfast was pretty rubbish, the TV didn't work and the the curtains didn't black out the constant light so it was difficult to get a good night's sleep.|Yes, it's in a convenient location and the staff are friendly, but the guesthouse reminds me of a youth hostel with inflated prices. I'd find a less basic hotel in Reykjavik if I were you.
