We had a really lovely stay here on our first night in Iceland. The guesthouse is clean, modern, spacious and has a good number of showers and toilets available. We stayed on the 3rd floor which had 2 showers and 2 toilets. Despite being on the top floor, our wifi connection was perfect and we had no issues with this at alll as some other guests have mentioned. The biggest highlight is the hot tub - the only guesthouse we came across with this facility and we stayed in 5 different guesthouses. Similarly they had a tv in the room, which we did not have the luxury of for any of our other stays.||||The guesthouse is well managed and there is a communal kitchen and dining area, which is well equipped and has an electric hob and oven. They also provide you with baskets so you can mark and separate your food from other guests. Hairdryers are provided upon request but they leave these on the front desk overnight in case you forget to ask. Our room was quite spacious, had basins and super comfortable beds! ||||In terms of location, the guesthouse is easy to find and was a perfect stop if you're touring the golden circle. There is also a Bonus Supermarket (cheapest in Iceland) nearby so you can stock up on provisions. Overall, would highly recommend - just a shame we only stayed here for one night!

We booked a room with two single beds (pushed together to make one) last minute and late in the evening. The owner responded quickly, met us at the guesthouse, gave us important details in less than ten minutes. The House is modern, wooden floors, tall ceilings and excellent amenities. There is an outdoor hot tub that only took one hour to heat up. The kitchen has an electric stove, large commercial fridge, oven and equipment you need to cook and serve food is provided. There was even a cupboard that had basic items like coffee, sugar, pasta and more with a lovely note that said: Free. The wifi was fast, there is a flat screen tv with access to channels and a neat library with great selections. We did not use the washer and dryer but that was also provided. The shower and wc areas were impeccably clean. At the time we stayed, it seemed the place was brand new- and it felt like we were the first ones to stay there judging by the way the place looked. Finally, there are a couple of markets nearby, that offered local fish already prepared and frozen chips- we stuck those in the oven while we enjoyed the hot tub. The only thing you need are toiletries like shampoo and hair stuff- there are hairdryers and towels... so very little is needed to enjoy the place! If we come back to Selfoss, we will definitely stay here. Thank you to the proprietors for a lovely, comfortable stay.

We have just returned from our road trip around Iceland where we weren't staying at one place for more than one night.||Selfoss Guesthouse was our favourite place (well, it was mine!). The rooms were clean and the service was friendly.||We stayed in a double bedroom with a private bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was big enough. The kitchen and dining room was very clean and spacious. Everyone had enough room to sit and enjoy their breakfast/dinner. They have free wifi.||They also have a lovely hot tub in the back which we enjoyed after a busy, cold day of sightseeing. ||Overall, a very nice stay!

Si la ville de Selfoss n'a pas un charme suffisant pour motiver un arrêt, elle est bien située comme étape pour des visites. Dans Cette Guesthouse Garun Selfoss nous avons eu une grande chambre confortable, avec rideaux assez occultants. Les 2 douches de notre étage sont pratiques et très propres, comme les toilettes. La cuisine, bien que peu lumineuse, est bien équipée pour se faire à manger et mettre les vivres au frais. L'accueil a été cordial. Petit bonus avec le hot tube sur le côté.|Un très bon rapport qualité prix pour l'Islande.

I have just returned from a road trip around Iceland where I stayed in 8 different places of varying standards and this faired as middle of the road in my opinion! If this review was based solely on cleanliness of the guesthouse then it most definitely deserves 5 stars! Also, the kitchen was spacious with everything you could need. However, the photos provided by the guesthouse are very misleading of the location. It is situated right next to some kind of factory/work site, which I found to be noisy in the morning. The wifi unfortunately didn't reach upstairs to where our room was and there is only one shower, which is not ideal with the amount of rooms in the guesthouse.||I must also note that we weren't lucky enough to be sharing the guesthouse with very friendly guests. They made us feel very uncomfortable in shared areas. This has most definitely not impacted my rating, as it is not the guesthouse owner's fault that guests were this way inclined, however it is of course worth noting that you will be sharing with others and so just have to hope you get some good ones! ||This is most definitely a good place to stay for one or two nights. If there was an extra shower, wifi that served the whole house and perhaps better windows to sound proof from the factory, it would deserve 5 stars.

il Guesthouse è effettivamente cosí come viene descritto da booking: è situato molto centrale,facile da trovare. diponde di abbastanza parcheggio gratuito,camere molto accoglienti e pulite. anche il bagno era molto pulito con asciugamani a disposizione. |il proprietario,appena abbiamo suonato il campanello situato all'esterno della casa, era molto cortese e ci ha fornito tutte le informazioni necessarie e ci ha acceso la vasca idromassaggio all'esterno.

Very cool place, 2 mins from the main road with hot tub, a very cool and furnished kitchen to prepare your own meals. ||Our room was big, around the corner from the clean bathroom and spotless shower room. ||Such a shame we arrived too late to relax in the hot tub, keep it in mind when you're travelling around Iceland!

We stayed for 1 night in apartment 1b which is a single studio separate with the main building (1a), it has a twin bed and private bathroom. tv, shower, microwave, fridge, wifi all working perfectly. room was clean, but there was leftovers in the fridge supposedly from the previous booker.||the washing machine is placed in the bathroom which limit the space to move around. ||the location is near the grocery stores, restaurants, and gas station.|
