We were pleasantly surprised by the guesthouse. Plenty of parking, easy to find, and just around the corner from the supermarket. There’s a well-equipped kitchen for everyone’s use, including a good self-service coffee machine. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and we even saw the Northern Lights from the window!

Vu de l extérieur j ai eu un peu peur mais intérieur tout refait et propre. Chambre confortable mais isolation insuffisante. Nous étions au rez et bruit de pas au dessus ainsi que bruit d ambiance au coin café jusqu’à minuit. Ça va pour une nuit

Bella guesthouse a hofn, dotata di cucina e tutte le comodità. >stanze non grandissime ma comunque adeguate agli standard.. Stanze al piano superiore un poco scomode per le valigie per la scala stretta.. Stanze pulite e personale cortese e disponibile

By this point in our trip we were used to places sending us emails with entry codes and Guesthouse Mikael was no different. However what was different about this place was that we had a bathroom in our room which was a nice change. As with almost every place we stayed in Iceland they had comfortable beds and pillows.||A nice little breakfast in the kitchen area outside our room. The rooms aren't well insulated enough against sound that the first group of people through in the morning made enough noise to wake us up.||Great location next to several restaurants, and a small park with a running path and a few sculptures that provided a nice morning walk before we set off driving again.

This place is absolutely not a 3 star stay as advertised. No staff on sight and just a checkin number. Feels like a hostel and rooms are small, hot, with no air circulation. Walls were paper thin and you can hear every shower your neighbor takes. A guest had a broken door that they kept trying to slam shut after 11 pm with maintenance working on it late into the night and we got ZERO sleep. Tried to get money back with help from Hotels.com and the property refused. Miserable stay.

We were in room 8 on the ground floor and were very pleased with the room and it’s facilities for our one night stay. Parking is plentiful and near the front door. You need a code to get in to the front door and then into your room. The hotel is well situated with at least 5 restaurants within 100m.|We had a quiet comfortable nights sleep and were very pleased with the continental breakfast with a wide range of items. |We only saw any staff in the morning when breakfast was available but he was very friendly and helpful.|The hotel may not look much from outside and the view from our bedroom was just of the local sports centre but we would have no hesitation in staying there again and recommending it.

In un albergo o in una guesthouse il 50 per cento lo fa l’accoglienza: la guesthouse Mikael, gestita da due simpatici ragazzi sorridenti, parte già con questo bonus iniziale. Aggiungete la posizione perfetta, la stanza abbastanza grande in confronto al prezzo e il parcheggio comodissimo e otterrete una buona sistemazione. Pecca: non c’è l’ascensore. Il check-in è autonomo ma i gestori sono sempre presenti. La colazione in una saletta deliziosa non spicca per quantità ma è più che accettabile.

I think for memory this was the cheapest place we stayed at in Iceland.|There is a lock on the front door with a pin. We arrived at 3.00pm and couldn't get in or make ourselves heard. By chance another couple arrived and had their phone number so we were let in. We received an email at 7.00 pm that night with the pin number so I think they need to review this process.|There was little contact with anyone there; it really was just a case of a bed for the night. The room was clean but quite small. Breakfast was basic but OK. It was only a five minute walk to some very good restaurants specialising in yummy fresh seafood.|
