This B&B is more of a "do-it-yourself" living close to a hostel approach. Some rooms have their own shower and WC, others share. We had a room with shower and WC. A nice room if somewhat tight to move around in. WAter kettle in the room with tea. Upstairs are the common room with TV and a nice kitchen. Breakfast can be ordered against a fee, but there is a big fridge where you can store your own breakfast if you like. Otherwise, it is more hostel rules that apply when it comes to the kitchen - clean up after yourself, wash dishes and such. Parking on the street is free after 1600 (if i remember correctly) until 0800. If you find yourself on the bottom floor, there is a big parking lot right outside that, in that case, provides better parking. Very thin floors and walls if you stay in the room with shower and WC ensuite. The common room is straight above you so people speaking and clomping around up there will be clearly heard. VEry central in town, just a few 100 meters from the main streets with all the restaurants.

Abbiamo soggiornato una notte in questa guesthouse. Ottima location, pulizia e organizzazione. Abbiamo scelto una camera con servizi privati che si trova nel seminterrato e ha un ingresso dedicato. La camera era molto spaziosa e il bagno dotato di ogni confort. Non viene offerta la colazione, ma la cucina ha a disposizione degli ospiti caffè, the e latte. Purtroppo la camera si trova esattamente sotto la sala da pranzo, per cui si è rivelata essere molto rumorosa a causa del pavimento in legno. Da consigliare, ma evitate le camere nel seminterrato!

Booking.com aveva una offerta e quindi abbiamo pagato 103€ per una doppia. Molto pochi per gli standard del paese. La stanza è confortevole. C'è l'uso di cucina ma un solo bagno (con bella doccia) è insufficiente per le 6 camere del secondo piano, anche perché il bagno al primo piano non ha doccia. Le camere al primo piano sono scomode sia perché prospicienti la cucina e la sala comune, sia perché una delle stanze ha la finestra proprio sull'ingresso. La cucina è comoda. Il parcheggio è gratuito perché in città sono tutti gratuiti ma dalle 10 alle 16 necessita di disco orario

Wir hatten eine Übernachtung im Doppelzimmer. Das gesamte Haus ist hüpsch eingerichtet. Das Ess-/Aufenthaltszimmer ist mit zwei langen Tischen und bequemen Stühlen ausgestattet. Die Küche ist groß und bietet alles was man zur Serlbstversorgung braucht. Kaffee, Milch und Tee stehen kostenlos bereit. Es gibt mehrere Gemeinschaftsbäder. Unseres war geräumig und sauber. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und hüpsch dekoriert. Leider ist das Haus sehr hellhörig und das Zimmer nur über ein sehr kleines Fenster schwer zu lüften. Das von uns gebuchte Frühstück wurde leider vergessen, so dass wir uns doch selbst versorgen mussten. Das Geld dafür wurde uns allerdings unter vielmaligem Entschuldigen großzügig zurückerstattet. WLAN war vorhanden. Akureyri mit zahlreichen Restaurants und Geschäfften kann vom B&B aus herrlich zu Fuß erkunded werden. Lediglich das Parken ist etwas schwierig wenn man spät kommt und von 10 bis 16 Uhr kostenpflichtig. Wir würden hier wieder buchen.

Pros:||Lovely guesthouse with a homey feel. Super close to town center, 5 min walk at most. Shops and restaurants also in walking distance. Loved the overall feel of the home, very clean, nice decor, well equipped kitchen. I had the upstairs bedroom in the corner so had 2 nice bright windows. An older home with neat architectural details and wood floors. A selection of toiletries in the WC were very thoughtful.||||Cons:||The walls are very thin so the first night I had chatty neighbours and could hear every word. As well, the bedroom doors lock automatically so you must have your key with you at all times. These locks are quite loud when they close so if anyone is in and out of the bedroom during the night you hear it all! No neighbors the second night, so had a great sleep.

una delle migliori guest house del nostro viaggio. Abbiamo soggiornato nella stanza tripla al piano inferiore con bagno privato. tutto molto comodo e pulito. Abbiamo usufruito anche della cucina completamente attrezzata per un paio di cene. La casa esternamente non ispira molta fiducia ma gli interni sono puliti e curati. Posizionata a 5 minuti a piedi dalla strada centrale. Ci tornerei senz'altro.

Gruppo numeroso in giro per l'Islanda, abbiamo occupato quasi per intero la casetta gialla, molto carina, in Þingvallastræti. Lasciate le scarpe all'ingresso, ho dormito al secondo piano in una camera a due letti arredata in legno - non aveva le lenzuola, noi abbiamo utilizzato il sacco a pelo. Ogni piano ha un bagno e la cucina. Le docce sono al piano terra e al secondo piano. I letti sono comodi. Abbiamo potuto raggiungere a piedi la zona dei bar e dei ristoranti e il porto.

Guesthouse disposant de quelques chambres sur 3 niveaux (sous-sol, rdc, étage). Toutes les chambres (de dimension modeste) sont personnalisées, le décor est chaleureux mais elles ne disposent pas de lavabo. Les sanitaires sont communs mais avec un nombre limité. Le point noir est le petit déjeuner : on récupère son panier "petit déj" dans le frigo de la cuisine, le contenu n'est pas terrible, surtout un petit pain qui passe la nuit au frigo !! Par contre idéalement situé à deux pas du centre, avec stationnement facile.
