Við gistum í eina nótt og herbergið (tveggja manna) kostaði aðeins 17000kr og það var jafnvel Eldhús , sturta og klósett inni á herberginu.

We only stayed here one night in early Spring but wish it was longer. The dome is really spacious inside but cozy and a quirky place to stay. It has everything you need. The farm is in a really peaceful valley with wonderful views and walks. Despite it being the busiest time of their year, the friendly owners invited us to see the lambing which was very special. It's location is ideal to break up a long drive in north central Iceland and only 10mins (the latter half on gravel) from the Ring Road. And the sheep dogs are very friendly too. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hof í Vatnsdal and hope to go back one day. Thank you

Sehr nette und unkomplizierte Unterkunft, die Gastgeberin ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit.
Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.
Das Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich.
Die Umgebung ist sehr schön und gut zu Fuß zu erkunden. Absolut im Einklang mit der Natur. 🌲🌳🐑🐏🐴
Wer das Landleben kennt und schätzt ist hier richtig aufgehoben

Very nice rooms with a comfortable community space including a well stocked kitchen which is always open. There is no dinner available and the included breakfast is typical. There is a tractor trail through the woods and down to the river. The hosts sat a MF answered our many questions about raising sheep and their way of life. Very nice.

One of our favourite places we stayed in whilst traveling around Iceland. The farm is about 20 minutes off the Ring Road. It was a great place to unwind after travelling and my daughter loved playing with the friendly dog and we enjoyed using the hot tub. Great large sociable lounge and dining area and well equipped kitchen which we used. The guesthouse provides an evening meal for a small extra cost.

We stayed in the dome house. Beautiful setting, we were sad that we had such little time here (arrived at around 5pm, left by 8am the next day). Watching the working dogs and sheep was brilliant, the dome itself is a lot bigger than expected, but very cosy. Would like to relax here for a few days and switch off from the outside world. Their dog is super friendly!

This was one of the most charming and welcoming stops on our 10-day drive around Iceland. As we drove down the access road off the highway, we encountered a round up of Icelandic (of course) horses being herded from one field to another - what a thrilling sight. We were greeted by one of the two farm dogs - so friendly. The room, while simple, included a very comfy bed and shower with unlimited hot water - a bonus in my books, although not rare in Iceland. The hostess could not have been more accommodating, giving us instructions on how to avail ourselves of the hot tub on the deck. There were lots of guide, photograph, and history books in the common area. Breakfast was plentiful, delicious, and varied. We did not partake of the optional dinner, but our fellow guests seemed to enjoy it very much. Really appreciated free WiFi.
