I'm not saying it's a 5 star hotel, but this has been my favourite hotel to stay at in Iceland. The room was so clean and comfortable. The bed was great and although the shower head was small it had nice power. The only thing missing in the room in my opinion was a small fridge.
I felt very relaxed there and the service was great.

We were impressed with the Hotel and the services the staff provided during our stay. We were let down by our Travel agents and needed to make changes to our daily trips from the Hotel. ||Josipa and Catrina were extremely helpfull in guiding us to resolve issues beyond their control. They went out of their way always with a smile and a helping hand.|

The hotel was nice and cozy . The rooms were very clean . The breakfast was simple but the products were fresh and the lady that worked at the hotel was eager to help us about any questions we had.

In our stay we had a few issues. But none of them could really be solved by the staff.

Firstly the water here stinks. Rotten egg so bad it made showering pointless and brushing your teeth a no no. We brought bottled water to brush our teeth.

Secondly our room was roasting hot. The windows didn't open, only had a small vent. And the glass of the window in the constant sunlight turned into a massive radiator. The glass was so hot I could have cooked an egg on it.
We were provided with a fan but it wasn't close to enough. The room seriously lacked heating controls.

The staff were very nice during our stay. One of the lovely ladies at reception helped us find a car wash place for our rental car. To the point she was on Google maps writing down addresses for us.

The location was decent. Not too loud from traffic but had good access to the city and the main roads. Near a shopping mall and district as well.

We didn't try the food or bar so no comment on that.

Overall the heat of the room is the only major issue. Some tinted windows and Aircon would make this place a great hotel.

Rooms were comfortable and clean. This hotel has more of a minimalist feel, nothing fancy but it offered a great place to relax and sleep. Front desk attendant was helpful with directions of places we wanted to see.

The room is good, the staff is friendly, but the rooms are HOT! Easily 25 degrees. There is no airconditioning and the window could not open, so there was no fresh air. We did hardly sleep and sweat all the time. They have a restaurant, but you cannot eat there unless you prebooked as a group, which I think quite strange and unwelcoming. They have happy hour until 8, but when we arrived at 6, they told us we had to leave soon because a group would come there to have dinner. We felt a little unwelcome. They said, and I quote, "We are not catering to the needs of individuals". I must say, though, that the employee behind the desk gave a lot of effort to help us book a tour and was super nice.

Look, this isn't the fanciest hotel in the world, it's a bit dated and simple so don't expect a 5* room.
However, it's clean, tidy, nice enough breakfast and the reception staff are amazing. Super polite and helpful so I would recommend the hotel purely based on them!
We were stuck here during the storm in December and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.
