Very quaint, clean and with spectacular views across the water. No meals provided onsite but served just down the road. We enjoyed our stay despite the thin walls and creaking building but that's to be expected in a building of its age. The rooms are not large but are adequate with small lounge areas on each floor. Good for the price.

Great location in a very scenic town! Rooms were VERY small. They contained only a bed because there was no room for anything else. The onsuite bathrooms worked fine. The staff was very nice but not very helpful. Good breakfast spread and coffee. Sleep in, because what little there is in this town does not start until 8:30 AM, including the hotel breakfast area.

This was the worst experience. Firstly let me talk about the buffet breakfast. I told the greeter I was a guest at the hotel but she did not trust me and wanted to see our key and then wanted us to turn the key - most humiliating experience. She did not do that to the other guests who came after us. Well I look different! But they need to accept guests of all types in the hospitality industry. I do not appreciate her rudeness and attitude. And worst was the woman who checked us in who just sat and showed no attempt to remedy the situation. The rooms were old, musty and need a lot of work. No elevator and needed to lug our baggage 2 flights. Wanted to rate it 0 star especially considering the attitude of the greeter

Lovely place and great view. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was paid and about 18 euros per person but was the only place we got eggs and bacon in iceland. Very good breakfast.

Situated in a lovely old and nicely renovated house in the heart of the village. Our room was clean, calm, overlooking the pond, and the beds were confortable. Thank you!

Loved this hotel! Very spacious family room with the most amazing view over the bay. Excellent beds. One double bed in a very cute alcove, extra dark for the long daylight nights in Iceland. Small fridge with bottles of water. The combination of modern comforts and picturesque touches of past times. From here we made some beautiful hikes and enjoyed our meals and the best breakfast in all of Iceland in neighboring Aldan restaurant and sushi bar. A great place to stay for several nights.

This hotel is in a good spot and the view is spectacular. The two staff were really friendly and helpful. The staff at breakfast did an amazing job with such a rush of people.|The room was tiny. Two slim beds pushed against the wall. The light still streams in through the pull-down blinds. The shower is also tiny. But we both still had a good sleep and good enough for the price. Breakfast was 3600 for two: waffles but no bacon. |It was a nice enough hotel because of the staff and view but the annoying thing is the paper-thin walls. You can hear everything your neighbor does in the bathroom so clearly..like you are sharing the bathroom. That...sucks...you basically wake up and go to bed when your neighbour does. |Still... more positives than negatives overall.

This is a bit of a mixed bag but, on balance, a good place to stay for one night which is probably all you need for this charming fishing village. The 'hotel' is in a good location and our room over-looked the fjord. The twin beds were comfortable, the room was clean albeit a shade tight when you have two large suitcases. There isn't a safe. The shower room is quite small. Reception is 150 metres away at the Hotel Alda. The breakfast is there too and was good although rather busy but the staff are efficient and friendly. There are good restaurants for dinner nearby. You can park right outside the block. We enjoyed the walk to Tvisognor and the phone box. So, overall, this is a good place for a one nighter. It has too much character for 3 stars but is a bit tight spacewise for 4 stars = 3.5 stars! Happy to recommend for people who enjoy a quirky stay.
