If you are in the area, we would highly recommend this place. I don't know what it was about it, the old history of the place or the owner of the house creating her own ceramic art downstairs, ready to tell you all about the history of the city, or the house itself with cool art and all of the amenities and comforts you need, but to us (and many others, according to the guestbook) it felt like home which is funny because I'm Indian and my partner is Austrian.
We loved it and definitely plan to go back.
Right in the centre of town with EVERYTHING a 5 minute walk away.

This adorable apartment probably was a huge part of why we loved Reykjavik! It is cozy, war, centrally located, decorated in an understated simple yet emotionally fulfilling artistic way. It was clean and comfortable, roomy with a TON of adorable windows. Can't wait to come back again!

We visited a friend who was staying there and it was a lovely and comfortable apartment. There was a bit of noise from the upstairs apartment, but nothing terrible, just a few steps taken in soft shoes or socks. I would be interested in staying there in the future.

A lovely old building with plenty of history which has been tastefully renovated to a high standard. Located in the centre of town close to the Old Harbour it is ideally situated to explore. Elsa, the owner, is always ready to help and provide advice. Being an older property means that soundproofing is not up to modern standards.

The most beautiful artistic gem located perfectly in the centre. Full of character and charm, with every single last detail thought of. Very clean, checking in was very straight forward, there was a car parking space plus lots of cooking amenities too as we made out breakfast to take on the road with us. Elsa was on hand to answer and of our requests, thank you so much for being so friendly and accommodating, this was definitely our favourite place we stayed this week. ♥️

Krásný domek v centru města s docházkovou vzdáleností na všechny pamětihodnosti. Moc pěkný apartmán, plně vybavená kuchyň, pohodlná postel. Paní majitelka moc příjemná.

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung mitten in Reykjavík, nahe dem alten Hafen. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön, liebevoll gestaltet mit viel Geschichte.
Die Betten sind leider etwas schmal, aber trotzdem gemütlich.
Die Wohnung ist sehr, sehr, hellhörig, man hört jedes Wort aus dem Laden darunter und was auf der Straße gesprochen wird, aber vielleicht gehört das auch zum Charme dieser Wohnung dazu.
Es gibt 3 Stellplätze am Haus (ein Wunder mitten in Reykjavík).
Wir waren 3 Nächte hier und haben es sehr genossen.
