Amazing location with beautiful scenery. If you are traveling between Reykjavik and the Snaefellsnes peninsula, this is well worth your time. We didn't stay here, but when we return we probably will. It's just gorgeous.

For cold plungers, the ocean bay is about 20 yards from the lowest hot pool, and as a bonus, the spilloff from the pool makes the transition from hot to cold a little less intense as you enter the ocean water.

Pro tip: if you are planning to visit here, bring flip flops or sandals to walk around the pool area, as there are crushed seashells and rough sand along the beach here.

The location is amazing! A serene experience where one can find solitude through nature. The weather changed every few minutes so if you feel like your not there at the right time just wait a few minutes. The thermal pools have various temperatures which is a plus as you can move if one is getting too hot. If your brave to jump into the sea it’s a stones throw away. Overall would recommend. The staff is friendly and the experience is seamless.

Beautiful setting for a spa, spectacular views and amazing hot water pools. Change room was a little small, rubbing elbows with others. But we really enjoyed our time there.

I'm pretty sure it's an amazing location and a super experience, but we couldn't participate in that. Here's why: you NEED to book in advance, because without a booking, you even aren't allowed to enter the premises.

We went there only to find out that everything was booked out days in advance, so we returned empty-handed.

The (mobile) website did NOT mention that a booking prior was MANDATORY to even enter the premises. If it were, we probably had checked availability before taking the 45 min. drive from Reykjavik.

I actually hate to give this place a great review, because it’s sort of like a secret fishing spot that you don’t want to share with the world. However the truth is is it’s out of the way, it’s non touristy it’s very clean and the help is gracious and nice and well…. Helpful! Make sure to make a reservation, the vodka lemonades with ginger at the top pool is a great drink for soaking in the pools, make sure to find the steam shower if that’s your thing, and for those of you that are adventurous jump into the ocean to cool down “ quickly”
Great place worth the drive for those of you that aren’t looking for the big flashy tourist traps.

Much less crowded than Blue Lagoon and very cozy. Pools are not deep, good depth for sitting. The changing rooms and showering area are very sleek and clean. There is a nice little walk up bar in the lounge pool for drinks and the seafood soup is delicious.

Amazing location. Recommend arriving halfway between low tide and high tide. That way you can go into the Tidal hot Pool (located in the ocean) and chill as the tides comes closer and eventually be above the pool. Nice location!
