Meine Erfahrung mit Konvin Car Rental war super. Bei Ankunft am Flughafen wurde ich bereits erwartet und mit dem Shuttle abgeholt. Ich habe einen Fiat Doblo Maxi Lux Camper gebucht und ein fast neues Auto erhalten. Das Fahrzeug war perfekt für mich als Alleinreisende. Das Bett war sehr bequem. Heizen konnte ich mit Strom oder Diesel. Ich habe die höchste Versicherung abgeschlossen, da Steinschläge und platte Reifen in Island keine Seltenheit sind. Glücklicherweise ist bis auf einen kleinen Steinschlag alles ohne Probleme verlaufen. Die Anmietung und die Rückgabe erfolgten zügig. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich. Ich würde jederzeit wieder bei Konvin Car Rental ein Fahrzeug mieten.

THE best car rental service in iceland, their vans are super clean and in perfect shape, they provided us with everything necessary for our 2 week journey, our van had 2 kinds of heaters wich is highly appreciated with the unpredictable icelandic weather, veronica is the one who managed our guest and she was amazing! Shes super kind and helpful, She explained everything and helped us a lot, definitely going back to Konvin, thank you guys for making our trip amazing!

I visited Iceland for the first time with my family for a one-week trip and rented a Jeep Compass from KONVIN. The car was solid and reliable — it handled the rough roads to Landmannalaugar comfortably, which was a big plus.

We had a minor issue with a tire during the trip, but KONVIN was very responsive and helpful. They handled everything quickly and professionally. Later, when we noticed a small scratch on the wheel, they reassured us kindly and took care of it without any trouble.

In a country like Iceland, where your rental car really matters, I feel lucky we chose KONVIN. If any friends or family ask me about renting a car in Iceland, KONVIN will be my top recommendation. They made our trip smoother and helped us feel welcome throughout.

We had the best time on Iceland while staying for 8 days in Fiat Scudo from Konvin rentals. We got a free shuttle from/to the airport even without a need to book it in advance. We got a nice bundle discount on a one night stand in their hotel which was really comfy after a long flight and it is right next to the rental office. The car itself was nice and clean, with all the basic equipment provided at no extra cost. The cars they have all seem to be quite new. The bed space is foldable and can be easily turned into seating. Endri ( the manager behind the customer chat) was also very helpful with all the questions we had. Very positive experience for our first try with camper van adventures!

Our experience with the services was in general very good.
I appreciate they were able to support by phone us when we needed to resolve a small issue.
The car was brand new and there were no issues with it.
Also the sleeping bags and other equipment provided was ok. Just the stove did not work very well and it was challenging to boil water on it.

Staff (2 Polish guys) was really friendly. Pickup at night was late followed by long waiting time for other guests to pick up at the same time, however, drop off was perfect. That jeep renegade hybrid 4x4 was absolutely useless - 30l gas tank volume… on an island with lots of areas without fuel stations is a max mileage of 350km/filling just ridiculous. Plus and main negative aspect - windshield was cracked completely, not small cracks but 2 long ones across the entire windshield. Staff said that was filled with glue and would last, but to me it seemed really critical and unsafe. To change the car was not possible. Handover area was dark and many smaller scratches could not be marked during pickup.

We rented a 4x4 renegade trailhawk for our journey around the ring road and it proved to be an excellent choice! Smooth process on pick and return of the car. Great experience!

Rented car July 4th to July 13th, 2025. I honestly don’t understand how there are any bad reviews about Konvin Car Rental — our experience was fantastic from start to finish. Konvin is an exceptional rental company. First off, it is one third the price of other rental companies in Iceland.

We rented the Jeep with the tent on the roof. It came with 20,000 km, so pretty much brand new. When we got to the airport, it did take someone about a half hour to pick us up, but that’s okay. They go back and forth dropping people off all day from the airport to the rental car company and vice versa. There will be someone holding a Konvin sign waiting for you.

After picking up the car and driving off, we were 40 minutes away in Reykjavík, and probably at the fault of myself, I killed the Jeep battery by plugging in the cooler into the 12V while parked. Even though the car was on, the engine automatically shuts off if in hybrid mode and not sand mode. Konvin came out and swapped another Jeep with 20,000 km and didn’t charge me.

The Jeep ran great. We got to see the beautiful highlands, driving through shallow rivers, mountains, and rocky gravel.

The tent came up and down very easily. We slept well. It was cold, but I like sleeping cold, and we brought an extra blanket. The tent was dark even though the sun didn’t go down all summer. I slept very well. The mattress was pretty comfortable.

Overall, I’d rent from Konvin ten out of ten times due to the quality of the vehicles and their exceptional customer service.
