We spent one night in the Laekjarkot Rooms. It was a great location, very close to pretty Borgarnes , but being outside the town it offers nice nature views and a quiet stay. The rooms are on the farm with private parking. Laekjarkot has check-in only until 6 PM, but we emailed the owners about our late arrival, and they left the information for us on the reception door. Our room was simple, clean, warm, and it had a good soundproofing. The beds were comfortable. Internet was fine. There was a well equipped tiny kitchenette with the double burner stovetop, sink and refrigerator just next to the bed, so there was no space left for bedside table. We didn’t use the refrigerator because of possible noise. We did the simple cooking, but the size of the kitchenette was too small to be practical. We recommend this place for a location and a good price.

The Cottage 63 was clean, room for 4, big for 2 of us, and warm. Plan your hot water use and showers because it has a hot water storage tank, which if it becomes empty will need time to heat up. We cooked two simple meals in an ample kitchen.
You need a car to stay here and we would thoroughly recommend.

The cabin like Cottage is of good size with a double room and a twin room. The Rooms are small but the Lounge area is pretty comfortable and bright. Very clean. The kitchen is very well equipped. We arrived after 7pm. The Reception was unattended but with our Cottage information displayed. We checked in ourselves without much problem. The whole Cottage was already warm with heaters on. However, the beds are quite worn, particularly the double bed. The WiFi did not work well for most of the time. It is located five minutes from the Town Centre where grocery stores open until 1900 or 2000. I found this quite convenient.

PROS: We stayed in the twin room with kitchenette. The kitchenette was very handy to have in the room with a small stove, fridge and toaster, and was well stocked with cutlery, pots/pans, chopping boards - allowing us to prepare some meals there. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean with a modern vanity. It exceeded my expectations based on the pictures.||||CONS: Nothing for what we paid for and what we expected. Only issue was the check-in process, we were running a bit late for the 7pm end of check-in and were unsure how to contact the property to inform them, and then organise late check-in, but there were staff present when we arrived at ~7.15pm.

Several of the heaters in the mobile home were inoperable.
Before leaving for our last night, we discovered a gross and bloody pillow. One would think it would have been discovered had sheets and pillow cases been changed.
Wifi rarely worked.

We had a room, which was ok. Very very basic, but good enough for one night. The bed was fine, shower very simple. The curtains did not really help. We were there in June so almost always daylight, there was no possibility to darken the room. Again all very basic. On the other hand it was really cheap, so the expectations were not very high either. You get what you pay for.

The place is far from normal, rooms are not clean, beds are not comfortable, kitchen is dirty, everything smells of mold and the owner of the place just puts things in the rooms that she throws away from her own home, like a sleeping | The trailers are broken and oldbed. Do yourself a favor and don't come here Some rooms are in warehouses The worst place we slept in Iceland and the owner didn't want to help

It was very dirty an there was mold and there was a very unpleasant smell in the accommodation.
We left early because it was unbearable and had agreed with the owner that he would transfer the money back to us. This did not happen, although he had confirmed it several times.
