Such great accommodations in one of the most scenic locations we stayed in. Spacious 2 floor apartment. Off street parking is a nice addition. We arrived late at night and didn't know what our surroundings looked like. We were pleasantly surprised in the morning to see beautiful river views and the Denmark/Iceland ferry right out our back door. The a large common area with combined living room, dining and full kitchen. The large bathroom made getting ready in the morning a breeze. We're so happy we had the chance to stay here.

Excellent place to stay! Clean/spacious and fun location right on the docks. If you’re in the Eastfjords then the little village of Seydisfjordur is a must visit. Spend the night here at Lonsleira Apts if you can!

The place itself is decent, very nice view of the water looking towards center of town. Some maintenance needs such as the windows not closing completely, broken dryer dishwasher lining coming apart, and shower floods the bathroom floor. But all that would have been okay if the owners simply would have answered messages or answered the phone during our stay. They never returned messages nor answered the phone and were later dishonest about what happened, claiming to have answered and provide services which simply did not happen. Very expensive lodging by Iceland standards and for the complete lack of communication.

Lovely stay! The host greeted us upon arrival and showed us around before leaving- everything was spotless and super cozy. Lots even better in person and the views from the apartment are amazing! Very quiet area. The whole thing was pretty huge-3 bedrooms so would also be good for families. Right beside a cruise ship stop so it’s pretty neat to see a huge cruise right outside the driveway. The charm of the town and the kindness of everyone was really great. We are definitely coming back here!

We stayed in eight different places during our Iceland Ring Road Trip and this was my favourite by far. It was everything I'd hoped for - a beautiful apartment inside and out with lovely views of the lagoon and town.||||We made a detour from the Ring Road to Seydisfjordur as we've enjoyed the Icelandic drama series 'Trapped' which was partly filmed here. The detour itself was worth it as the road and and out of Seydisfjordur is especially scenic and only takes around half an hour from Egilsstaðir which is a big town on the Ring Road.||||Lonsleira Apartments are actually four apartments in two large houses on the opposite end of the lagoon from the main town buildings. The two houses are beautifully painted, one mustard yellow and one cobalt blue. We were in apartment 7a which is the left side of the yellow building when facing the lake. We called the owner, Sigurður Gunnarsson, on arrival and he was there within a minute to let us in. He was really nice and friendly. And spoke great English!||||The apartment had three double bedrooms (two with large beds, one with two single beds) and a very large open plan lounge/kitchen area with loads of windows. It's very light and airy and immaculately decorated with light, very lovely furniture. It had underfloor heating which was very lovely. There are also heaters in the rooms so it was very warm and cosy as it was cold outside when we visited t the end of June. The curtains are lovely fabric but didn't provide any blackout which would have been useful as it's pretty much 24/7 daylight in June. The kitchen was very well-quipped complete with nice wine glasses (cheap ones from Ikea everywhere else we stayed). There was a dishwasher with tablets. There was also a laundry area shared with the other apartments but we didn't need to use that.||||We walked to the other end of the lagoon (5-10 minutes) in the evening and had a real nice meal in Hotel Aldan (Nordic Restaurant). The walk around the lagoon is really nice - it's such a beautiful, picturesque town with the painted houses and calm, reflective lagoon. I wish we could have stayed longer and that it was easier to get to from the UK to go for a longer stay in Lonsleira Apartments. If you ever find yourself in Seydisfjordur I cannot recommend these apartments more highly.

Our time at Lonsleira and Seydisfjordur was much too short! These apartments are lovely in every way. I wish the weather had been better and we had the opportunity to sit outside and grill. The bedrooms were simple, clean, and comfortable, and the bathroom was quite large. ||||Also, I should add that the owner was very kind to us. We arrived about 30 minutes past the check-in time, and he was very accommodating. ||||I hope to go back someday and stay longer!

Driving the fjord was a little scary, we were driving in the clouds, but we'll worth it. This is an adorable artist town and the apartment was perfect. Within walking distance of main town and perfect for our needs halfway through our trip. It has all the amenities plus little things to make the stay special. Will be coming back someday.

Our first visit to Iceland and our challenge was to complete a road trip right the way round in 7 days in winter! We pre-booked the first 2 nights in Reykjavik (visiting the Blue Lagoon & Golden Circle), then on to Jokulsarlon Lagoon and Diamond Beach, staying in Hofn. After this we moved on to Seydisfjordur where we had pre-booked the beautiful Lonsleira Apartments. Oh my goodness..... From the ring road we drove across snow covered mountains arriving in a little valley where everything was covered in fairy lights. I can honestly say I have never stayed in such a fantastic location. It was magical. Our 'apartment' was a 3 bedroomed house (there were only 2 of us!) fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The owner met us there as we arrived and showed us how everything worked. He told us the best places to eat and drink in and where we could shop for anything else we needed. We looked out onto a frozen lake and little lights all around. I cannot speak highly enough of the apartment, the location or the helpful owner. I just wish we could have stayed longer. We then moved on further north and stayed in 3 different places but none was as beautiful as this one. And yes, completed our trip in 7 days in mid winter, arriving back in Reykjavik for our flight home.
