The rooms are unpretentious but very clean and comfortable with the bonus of an en-suite. The views across the Fjord are absolutely stunning and we wished we could have had better weather and stayed longer to enjoy hiking in the local area. As it was, we arrived in bitterly cold rain and snow plus we had the ferry to catch the next day. The Manager was extremely helpful in giving us information about opening times etc for the supermarket, directions etc and even gave us a lift the next morning with all our luggage to the ferry port. Nice place and friendly service, thanks

The room was on the small side but it was adequate for our needs, and there was a pleasant shared area where one could sit to read. That area also had a kitchen that guests could use. We paid extra for breakfast. On our second and third mornings, when the hostess wasn’t as busy with cleaning rooms, she made us cooked eggs. The entire property was clean, and the shower in our private bathroom was more spacious than some we’ve seen. It would have been nicer to be able to walk into town; the trade off was to have better mountain views and save a little money. Technically, one could walk into town (~1.2 km), but it’s through a semi-industrial area without sidewalks.

Interesting idea to rebuild something like a boathouse into a guesthouse. There is a beautiful view to enjoy. The room is simple but provides all you need: sufficient power sockets, small bedside table, light and some coat hooks. There are paper thin walls so you can hear other guests. We even had the choice between a room with double bed and view to the mountains or a room with two beds and view to the sea. It is possible to have breakfast but we didn't. There is also a shared kitchen which can be used.

This place is amazing. It is built in a refurbished fish cannery, so the exterior is industrial--complete with derelict machinery--but the rooms are delightful. Clean, well-furnished, comfortable, and spacious. It miss right out onto the water with mountains behind, making a beautiful view. Also a very short (and scenic) drive into town. Highly recommended!

The inn is basic and it's a long walk, but short drive, to town. The cooking facilities are excellent. We found the staff to be friendly. Our room was large enough for the two of us and waking with a view of the Fjord was a nice extra. All in all, it was comfortable and a reasonable price for a night's stay.

The guesthouse is located in a marina and at first glance appears a bit suspect. The location offers amazing views of the harbor and sweeping views of the surrounding mountains. Our room did not have darkening shades (kinda important) and no fan or AC. We opted to pay extra for a room with a private bathroom. Sadly, our view was of a dumpster and a building wall. In such a small town, your options are limited, understood.||Anyway,you will find Seydisfjordur to be a very picturesque and beautiful town. We hope in the future this Guesthouse works toward its great potential.||||Helpful Iceland Tips:||- Rent a Wifi device in advance. Pick up at airport, return in prepaid box on departure.||- Make sure you have your credit card PIN number to buy gas, or use an ATM card||- Book hotels in advance!||- A mix of Waze and Google maps works well throughout country.||- Food everywhere is expensive, embrace it. Many items are imported.||- Have a great trip!

The bed was super comfortable. There is a shoes off policy.....and the place provided slippers. I saw lots of families at this hotel. |||| · I wish it was in town. It was located at the very end of town and didn’t get the vibe for the beautiful area it is in. I offered to pay when I checked in but he said “in the morning” but no one was around when I left so I hope he gets paid. Did turn in the keys.

I stayed for two nights at this accomodation. For 225,00 EUR for the entire stay it was absolutely overprized. The room was very simply furnished as in a youth hostel. No comfort as television etc. The personnel was trying to charge me an "own" EUR/ISK-exchange rate instead of the official one published on the website of VISA. Pretty impertinent this kind of behaviour.||||Besides the personnel is lazy as they do not offer daily room cleaning and you are asked to remove also clean shoes at entrance (impertinent as well). The breakfast is not a breakfast - it's a joke. In front of the guesthouse is it pretty dirty with industrial trash like old boat-parts etc.||I don't recommend this guesthouse - a pretty ugly place.
