The best food we had in Iceland. We loved every dish of the 9 course menu, there was not one that we didn‘t like. The chef explained every dish, we liked that the focus was on local ingredients. The service was very friendly and attentive, and overall it had a down-to-earth atmosphere. The price was more than fair for what you get. Highly recommended.

We had two dinner experiences in Iceland we’ll remember for a long time - and one of them we had at North. So many new and genius flavor combinations and textures. Everything was so well made. Thank you, North! 🙂

Had such an amazing experience at North. We dined at Dill in Reykjavik earlier in our trip and when I found the sister restaurant in Akureyri and we would be in town we had to go.

We had such a hectic day with some delays during an excursion so didn't have time to change by thankfully there's no dress code so they didn't care that we showed up in some hiking gear. There was people dressed nicely as well so wear whatever you want.

It is a small, intimate restaurant with several small tables and seating for 5 at a chef's counter. There are two services a night: 6/630 and 9/930 seatings.

The food and win pairing was outstanding. The portions were perfect. We were full at the end but not stuffed.

Would come back in a heartbeat if we're ever in Akureyri again

The food was delicious however the menu was rather small which in addition to the price makes it slightly disappointing. It's a very small place so reservations are a must. The service is very attentive and describes the food well however English is a little worse than in other places.

Amazing experience! We sat at the chefs table and it was a great experience overall. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the tasting menu (that’s the only menu). You can ask get a wine pairing, which we chose to skip. We loved watching the team make the food and fully enjoyed the experience.

Excellent restaurant. Highly recommend!!!

Well curated and prepared, and definitely well worth the price (I honestly think it’s undervalued).

My partner and I agreed that North restaurant could even do well in NYC where we are from and the competition is high — and we’re foodies!

Recommend sitting at the chefs counter so you can watch them prepare and plate the dishes. The staff are nice and outgoing too!

Highlights from our seasonal menu were the tomato + ricotta dish, the beet root, and the slow cooked lamb

Definitely the best meal we had on our 8 day trip in Iceland.
