These guys do it right. Dry suits that actually keep you dry, really exciting rafting, beautiful scenery, and fantastic conversation. We and our guests learn so much and get such a thrill every time we have rafted with Secret Local. We’ve been four times in the last 12 months and can’t wait for the next trip! They don’t promote themselves very much, so it’s never crowded. We are so glad we chose this quality trip over the ones offered by the better known vendors.

My father and I went on this rafting tour and had an absolutely fantastic time! The scenery was breathtaking, and the whole experience was incredibly well organized from start to finish.

We were lucky to have two amazing guides who were not only super professional and knowledgeable but also incredibly fun and friendly. They made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable, while also keeping the energy high and the experience exciting.

The rapids were the perfect mix of adventure and enjoyment — thrilling but never too extreme. We laughed a lot, paddled hard, and created memories we’ll never forget.

Highly recommended to anyone looking for a fun, active, and memorable way to explore Iceland’s beautiful rivers. Thank you for an unforgettable day!

とても素晴らしい体験になりました。
初めてのラフティングでしたが、私たちが挑戦できるレベルのツアーを安心して体験できるように組んでくれました。川に到着するまでのバスの中でも楽しくおしゃべりをしてくれ、子供たちは英語が話せませんが、この日はボール遊びが大好きなクラッキ-（白い犬）がバスに同乗してくれ、リラックスした状態で川に到着できました。川に着いてからも、実際にボートに乗ってからも技術的なことをおさらいして、安心して挑むことができました。実際にはボートを漕ぐだけではなく川にわざと落ちてみたり、その際にチームメイトである娘が私をボートに引き上げる、またはその逆、のやり方なども体験しました。また、ここのラフティングではドライスーツを利用しているため、終始暖かく過ごせ、下の娘は川に落ちてみることを始め拒否していましたが、そのうちに楽しくなってきて最後には家族全員で川に浮かびながら、冷たくて気持ち良い水を手や頭部で感じることができました。また、この川をラフティングすることでしか見られない風景があり、ザ・ロード・オブ・ザ・リングスの世界に潜り込んだようでもありました。私たちが川で過ごした日は晴れていましたが、ガイドの方の説明では雨のあとや氷河の溶ける度合いによって、川の水量や流れも異なるようで、1度では体験しきれない楽しさがあるのだとも感じました。アイスランドの氷河や滝を観て、このラフティングで大地を流れる川を肌で感じることが出来たことはとても貴重でした。きっと、この先何年も心に残る体験になったと思います。

I have gone rafting in many places around the world and these guys were the absolute best. They are an intentionally small team so that they can treat all of their customers as friends. I cannot put into words how great they are as guides and worth spending a little bit more - world class experience. Also - they use dry suits which make the experience way better (nearly all the other companies use wetsuits and you will be very cold and a much worse experience if you’re in a wetsuit). These guys are great 👍🏻👍🏻

We hebben gister een super leuke raft-trip gehad. We hadden geluk dat we met z'n vieren waren en verder niemand, dus het werd in feite een prive trip. Erg leuk om de rivier en kloof vanaf het water te zien en er ook alle tijd was om van de rotsen te springen of op de boot en in het water te spelen. Onze kinderen vonden het geweldig. De dry-suits zijn echt een uitkomst waardoor het totaal niet koud is (en de regen die we onderweg hadden merkte je niet eens). Kortom een mooie ervaring en het geld zeker waard!

We went with my husband and teens; I was quite reluctant to begin with. And I ended up having the very best time!
These guys are super organized, they have extra everything, so you don't get on the water half equipped. They give you time to get confident and get increasingly... whimsical from there...

Can’t recommend enough! My bf and I went rafting and kayaking with Guømann (‘Mannie’) as our guide. Hjálmur (‘Helli’) drove shuttle. Mannie was very knowledgeable, fun and made the trip a blast! Very personable/individualized. Not at all like the larger, overly commercial companies. They have jumpers and dry suits so you’re not cold at all.

I’ve rafted/paddled across Colorado and Cali but seeing Iceland’s landscape and paddling fun pristine, drinkable glacier water was a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Guømann and Hjálmur were the best and the coolest people we met during our trip. They even made reservations for us at a local, amazing restaurant for afterwards. Would absolutely recommend!

Had a great rafting experience with Manni and Bada from Secret Local. Fantastic experience! We were the only ones in the group and felt the service was very personalised. They were very accommodating and ensured that we have fun while ensuring our safety anxieties. We even jumped from the raft and floated alongside the raft (Under their strict guidance) to experience the close contact with nature. coupling with their great sense of humour. Highly recommended! We love that we didn’t get wet at all with the dry suit and get straight on to our road trip immediately after the rafting!
