This is the second time I have eaten here in passing through Iceland and staying near the airport. The food has been very good on both occasions. The service is reliable, the staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is great considering this is a hotel that caters to lots of single night guests looking to fly somewhere. The fish and chips were very nice.

A TRUE HIDDEN GEM in all aspects

Delicious preparations. Economical compared to the restaurants in Reykjavík

We started with Baked Camembert , served with Rye Tacos . Nutty, Betty and cheesy taste with a hint of Rosemary, done to perfection.

Fish and chips for me … well made. Not too oily. Good portion size, came with coleslaw, tartare sauce and fries.

My better half went for the baked lamb well done.

Tasted good.

Would highly recommend to try the food here. 10 min drive from the airport and simply worth it.

Excellent ribs and great service at the Take Off Bistro. You get 10% off if you're staying at the hotel. Absolutely recommend, especially when arriving or departing from Iceland 🇮🇸.

Resto sans chichi au 2eme étage de l’hôtel où nous avons dîner lors de notre dernière nuit en Islande. Nous vous conseillons de réserver car la salle est petite (nous avons réservé le jour même environ 1h avant d’arriver, la procédure est simple)

Nous avons pris les burger Konvin qui étaient tout à fait correct et pour un prix raisonnable pour l’Islande. Le service était rapide, aimable et efficace. L’ambiance est très sympa.

Food was delicious. We had fish and chips which was great. We tried the vegan burger with sweet potato chips. Sweet potato chips were delicious I tried those for the first time and liked it a lot. The deep fried cauliflower wings were also good a bit oily but that was the only vegetarian dish other than the burger. Please book the table in advance as it gets crowded. Also do take the discount coupon from the receptionist if you are staying in the hotel.

Good food. Selection a bit limited. Wanted a soup as I had an upset stomach, but there was none even when I asked.
Kids liked the burgers, ribs and the sweet potato chips. Fair (icelandic) prices.

Abbiamo prenotato il Take Off perché ospiti del Konvin, avendo un volo presto la mattina dopo era la soluzione più comoda. Siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi. Il ristorante si trova al piano superiore dell’hotel e da un lato affaccia sul corridoio ma è strutturato in maniera tale che non si nota. Menu’ con cucina da pub, abbiamo ordinato due hamburger e poi il dolce. Tutto ottimo. Personale giovane, gentile ed efficiente. Servizio rapido. Serata perfetta e assolutamente suggerito.
