Only about $60 a night which is a really good deal considering it's Iceland. You get your own room with a key to it. Super clean room. We booked last minute but the staff responded really fast. Clean restrooms that each have a shower, you share with other guest but there are 4 so it's not an inconvenience. There is a kitchen you can use. The door to the building is secured with a code that only guest have. Step out side and you have shops and restaurants and the awesome famous church is on the same street. Everything is nearby including a 24hr convince store. Highly
recommend!

We stayed here for two nights. The location is excellent. Very near the Hallgrimskirkja church (where you can park for free) and some excellent restaurants, cafes, bars, and shops. They also provide you with a full kitchen so you can buy groceries and make your own food if the crazy high restaurant prices are too much for you! The room itself is small but enough. There is a shared bathroom which is what it is, and any sound people are making in the common area can be very audible from the room, so be aware of that. Excellent value for the price though.

This place is decent. You get a private room with a shared kitchen and bath. This isn't a fancy place, but it is certainly clean and well maintained. The bathroom we had was of decent size and only shared with one other room.

Our room had 3 beds in it and a table and chairs. It had a nice sized window with a view of the street below. It is located close to many restuarants, bars, and shops in Reykjavik.

There is no parking, so you have to find parking on the street, which you will pay for at certain times of the day and week.

Good location for walking around downtown with enough options for parking! We were in a room with the small shared kitchen but it was good enough since we were only spending one night. Room was clean and the host was super attentive to us driving jetlagged from our flight. Great value for the place!

We stayed in room 10, perfect for family with 2 kids. Very comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen so we could make our own breakfast and dinner. Clean hot showers. The view from the room was amazing and a rooftop viewing balcony has good views of Hallgrimska church and main streets of Reykjavik. We were able to walk to all the sights of downtown Reykjavik easily from here.

Three of us stayed here in a triple room for one night, the first day with arrived in Reykjavik before meeting up with the rest of our travel group. We picked the Thor Guesthouse because it was inexpensive and conveniently located. We arrived at 7 am, and since we couldn't get in our room until 4 pm, we stored our luggage at the BSI bus station, which was not terribly far from the guesthouse, but still inconvenient. The beds in our room were pretty comfortable and we had great night of sleep (we were also exhausted - ha!) and didn't notice any noise from other guests. There was a small kitchenette directly outside of our room, plus a bathroom with a shower. We never had any issues with bathroom or shower access during our stay. The bathroom could have had better ventilation and been a bit cleaner, but it was not terrible. Overall, an inexpensive place to stay that's located very centrally to bars, restaurants, and shopping.

Good for one night only for its good position in the city centre.
There is nobody that welcomes you.
We had a double bedroom (not cleaned under the bed: still some food left from other guests) that shares a tiny bathroom with an other room. The bathroom is not clean and without windows (the ventilation is dirty and also the shower curtain).

I stayed here for a few nights, the location is excellent; the shared kitchen is pretty good for a guesthouse, spacious and with excellent views over the city. It's one of these places where there are no staff present except in the mornings to clean rooms, so management can be hard to contact. It was generally quiet but there was a bit of street noise on weekends.
