Definitely worth to stay here for a night or two. I, personally, wouldn't stay longer (not in the normal room at least), as it is very basic after all. The rooms are clean and well tended, the beds are a bit narrow, but it's still okay.

We actually had the whole guesthouse to ourselves, there was no one else to be seen, but sheep. Check in is super easy and so is check out.

The common area in my opinion could do with an update, as it's.. well.. a bit weird maybe? Doesn't fit the rest of the guesthouse, which is nice and updated already, at all.

The main "problem" is the road to get here. It's endless, utterly beautiful, but endless and people really need to take this into consideration! Barely makable in winter I assume, as winter service is somewhat limited. It also takes time. Normal driving with a few scenic stops take you at least 2h one way to the main road.

I can also totally recommend to go for a swim in the nearby swimming pool.

Very comfortable and fully equipped cottage. We enjoyed to listen to the sea with a wonderful view. All was covered in snow and looks like postcard! |The host was very kind and gave us their phone number to call in case of need when travelling back.

I used this campsite for my 5 days of exploration of the area, it is the second time I have gone there in my travels in Iceland, it has a better equipped kitchen than many others, and the kind and friendly managers made me feel at home. Located a few km from a thermal pool, excellent for relaxing after a bit of trekking or a day of exploration. If I return to the area, I will definitely stay there again.

We have visited Norðurfjörður many times as the nature and history of the area is unique. Once again we went to Norðurfjörður despite bad weather, heavy rain, cold and strong wind. So it was great to have booked accommodation at Urðartindi, a small but excellent guesthouse where the ambition of the owners is clearly visible when you enter the wonderfully well-equipped and spacious rooms. For breakfast and dinner there is a kitchen and a dining room where you can prepare a first-class dinner atmosphere. I 100% recommend Urðartindi as a place to stay when traveling through the unique nature of Norðurfjörður.

This was our favorite cabin we’ve ever stayed at! It’s very secluded, the scenery is beautiful, and the cabin itself is everything we were looking for. We were able to make simple meals and the cabin comes with pots, pans, cooking utensils, etc. The owner provides instant coffee, a kettle, a coffee pot and filters, and some basic seasonings as well. We ended up checking in extremely late at night, which ended up working out okay. The owner informed us of how to get in and the cabin was ready for us to quickly settle in and get to bed. We slept extremely well, had the most beautiful views, were close to an amazing hot pool that’s right on the ocean, explored some of the coolest landscapes, and were able to completely relax after all of our adventures because of how perfect this cabin was. We can’t wait to come back and would recommend this cabin to anyone!

Just make sure you have a vehicle capable of handling the trip out there. We visited July 2-5, so the weather wasn’t horrible, but the Dacia Duster we rented wasn’t my favorite. It did fine, but next time I would choose a vehicle with more power, better tires, and maybe a little more ground clearance - just to make the drive more comfortable and to allow us the ability to explore more of the area.

Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo per gli standard islandesi. Camera con bagno privato molto comoda e pulita. In 5 minuti si arriva alla Krossneslaug. Zona isolata al temine della strada costiera di Strandir. È un'ottima soluzione se volete percorrerla.con calma e godere di pace e relax in questo fiordo settentrionale remoto.
