The cabin was very nice but it could’ve been cleaned better. There was a spider on the ceiling light in our bedroom and cobwebs were ubiquitous. We also had a very special fun guest, but he was a ghost. The place is haunted. The doors flew open, we saw a figure twice standing in the doorframe and walking past us. The morning after our stay we heard scratches coming from the bathroom or bedroom. We are not quite sure what to think but one is definite we were very scared and ran out. The hot tub was nice but very dirty, dead flies, etc. We would definitely recommend very cute, cozy and isolated. Thank you!

La ubicación es perfecta y las instalaciones nuevas y muy bien cuidadas. Es espacioso: dos habitaciones, sala de estar y cocina, baño y fuera un hotspot y barbacoa. El entorno es idílico. Como único problema que nos cobraron 32e de más que han quedado sin explicación (nos dijeron que era por el cambio pero ya la reservamos con booking en euros, así que no lo entendemos. Además te cobran por las sábanas y la limpieza, que debería entrar en el precio).

The location was amazing. Otherwise, I would hesitate to return. Definitely a better value for longer stays but would avoid for 1 or 2 night stays.

We did not expect luxury, however, we’re even still a little disappointed. It is definitely good for a cheap off the grid locale, but, the price isn’t any different than hotels after cleaning fees.

Also, the Wi-Fi did not work.

Saw Aurora Borealis last night from the porch. It was a semi-cloudy night, but through the clouds there were many northern lights occurrences. Such an amazing sight (sorry for my photo taking skills) 🙂

The place overall is really nice, not too far from Akureyri downtown, but a solid distance to enjoy the nature, and if you are lucky see Aurora Borealis since it’s away from the city lights. The hosts are really great - since I’ve managed to lock us out of the house, I’ve reached out to them and they’ve sent us help in no time (not the first guests that did this). ☺️ The houses are quite sufficient for your stay, the kitchen has everything you need, the beds are solid, and it wasn’t cold (we stayed in mid September, with two cold days).

The WiFi is decent, sufficient for all our needs during our stay. The TV does not have Netflix, so that’s maybe an area to improve 🙂

There was a hot tub available, we didn’t use it but I guess it could be nice to enjoy the evening waiting for Aurora in this way.

Компанией из 5 человек мы провели здесь одну ночь. Наш дом №12 был в числе других симпатичных домиков почти на самом берегу красивого фьорда. Обнесен забором. Имеется открытая веранда частично под навесом с барбекью, но мы им не пользовались. Спальни с двухъярусными кроватями. Белье чистое. Очень просторная гостиная с хорошо оснащенным кухонным уголком, кожаной мебелью. Телевизор (как во всех наших ночлегах) показывал одну программу в плохом качестве. Смутили ламинированные листки с предупреждением, что этот дом следует убирать постояльцам самостоятельно (и даже штраф в 100 евро упомянут)), и инструкцией что именно следует сделать: пропылесосить, помыть полы с моющим средством, снять и сложить в гостиной постельное белье, полотенца и пр. Это при том, что к заявленной в букинге цене за проживание 137 евро при резервировании добавились мелким шрифтом два пункта: 80 евро за уборку и по 16 евро с человека за белье, которые были накануне списаны с карты. Мы подумали и решили. что это, вероятно, какая-то опция с проживанием, включая самостоятельную уборку, и к нам это не относится. Мы сложили полотенца в гостиной, помыли посуду в посудомоечной машине на кухне, протерли обеденные столы и сложили мусор в пакет. В целом, место отличное, тихое, даже уединенное с прекрасным видом на фьорд и застывшую лаву вокруг.

It's a cute cottage, beautiful horses. Spacious for the most part.

We booked through airbnb.. that had a $111 cleaning fee, fine. I'm unsure why they feel like it's okay to charge us $111 cleaning fee on airbnb for one night and then give us an extensive checklist for us to clean the entire house ourselves. The cleaning list is long and includes vacuuming under couches. Be realistic.

The bathroom has little dust above the moldings and light switches, there's slight build up around the sink faucet. The garbage wasn't changed.

How can you charge us to clean after ourselves and the place isn't even clean? Lol

The TV has no connection apparently. The toilet seat is a little wobbly.

It's also first come first serve, which is a little bizarre because we paid like everyone else, 3 guests got 1 bed and 1 couch. Ridiculous.

The lady at the desk was a bit rude to my friend when she was asking why there was only 2 towels for 3 guests?

It's decent, but these things are really kind of wrong.

You don't charge $111 for a cleaning fee for one night and let the guests clean up themselves. (There's apparently a large fee also if we don't complete her checklist).

Calling airbnb about this because it's really something we are okay with.

Oops forgot to mention!! The directions they provided were wrong and we had to wait 30 minutes to check ourselves in.

Die Lage des Hauses war sehr schön, ruhig, mit Meerblick.|| · Leider war das Blockhaus ziemlich schmuddelig und die Kochutensilien , die Spüle und das Geschirr regelrecht so schmutzig, dass wir zuerst einmal alles abwaschen mussten. Die Kaffeemaschine und auch der Toaster waren ekelerregend und nicht zu gebrauchen. Die ausgehängten diversen Reinigungsanweisungen empfanden wir als sehr unfreundlich, zumal wir die Unterkunft in unsauberem Zustand vorfanden, obwohl ein beachtlicher Geldbetrag für die Endreinigung zu zahlen war. |Die Vermieterin ging auf unsere Beschwerde nicht ein, im Gegenteil hielt sie uns mit leeren Versprechungen, das Reinigungsteam zu schicken, 2 Tage hin, dann bestritt sie , dass das Haus unsauber sei. Wir können das aber mit vielen Fotos belegen. Außerdem räumte sie ein, dass ihr Team angeblich bei einem Mieterwechsel viel zu wenig Zeit für eine gründliche Reinigung habe. Dann sollte sie aber auch nicht 80€ Reinigungsgebühr fordern.|Der Gipfel war, dass sie uns zwei Nächte vor der Abreise empfahl, uns nach einer anderen Unterkunft umzusehen.|Schade, denn eigentlich ist es ein hübsches Häuschen in schöner Umgebung.|Leider konnte auch die Reiseagentur, bei der wir gebucht hatten (booking.com), die Vermieter nicht dazu bewegen, uns die Endreinigungsgebühr zu erstatten.
